Second Sight Ventures

Second Sight Ventures is seeking an Associate to support investing, portfolio engagement, and firm operations across early- and growth-stage consumer, culture, and technology companies. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who is analytical, proactive, and eager to learn the full lifecycle of venture investing while operating in a fast-paced, high-conviction environment.

The Associate will work closely with the Partners across deal sourcing, diligence, execution, portfolio support, and strategic initiatives. This role offers significant exposure to founders, investors, and operators and is ideal for someone looking to grow into a senior investing role over time.

• Source, evaluate, and help manage investment opportunities across Second Sight’s core themes (consumer brands, platforms, culture-driven companies, and emerging technologies)
• Conduct market research, sector mapping, and founder outreach to build a robust deal pipeline
• Support the full investment process including financial and commercial diligence, modeling, valuation analysis, and memo preparation
• Prepare and maintain data rooms; coordinate diligence workflows with legal, finance, and external advisors
• Assist in drafting term sheets, deal summaries, and investment committee materials
• Track deal progress from initial outreach through closing and post-close execution

• Work directly with portfolio companies on ad-hoc strategic, operational, and analytical initiatives
• Support portfolio companies on fundraising preparation, financial analysis, operating models, and KPI tracking
• Assist with board materials, reporting, and ongoing portfolio monitoring
• Help manage cap tables, equity structures, and investor reporting (including Carta)

• Support Partners on high-priority initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional efforts that do not neatly sit within a single function
• Help track key initiatives, deadlines, and follow-ups to ensure execution against firm priorities
• Assist with LP materials, performance analysis, and internal reporting
• Build and maintain systems to capture, analyze, and surface high-quality data to inform investment and business decisions
• Support outreach, relationship management, and deal socialization across founders, investors, and strategic partners

• Develop expertise in Second Sight’s focus areas and contribute to the firm’s evolving investment theses
• Prepare investment memos, market landscapes, and written analyses with clarity and rigor
• Monitor trends across consumer, culture, and technology to proactively surface new opportunities

• 1–3+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, growth equity, investment banking, consulting, or a high-growth startup
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (including waterfalls, cap tables, and scenario analysis)
• Experience preparing investment memos, diligence materials, and data rooms
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High EQ and comfort interacting with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders
• Curious, resourceful, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-moving environment
• Passion for consumer brands, platforms, and culture-driven businesses
