Mark Briggs, our CEO at Validity Inc., is sitting down with THE Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple 🍎, for a conversation on what it takes to build AI that actually lasts ... not just AI that trends on a random Tuesday. I genuinely don't know where to start with how excited I am. I grew up in an Apple 🍎 household. I've turned down jobs that required a PC 😅 ! I could go on and on, but I'm guessing the LinkedIn-verse relates more to this part: Having spent 16+ years in martech/saas/email means I have seen a LOT of "innovation" that in the end was really just noise. It had promise but no real lasting power. At Validity, I'm once again in the weeds with our team every single day building what I consider to be the future of email. And I am genuinely blown away. I wouldn't say that lightly, so I hope that means something to you. Building something clever is one thing. Building something that brings real, measurable advantages to the world's leading brands ... that's exciting! And not everyone can do it. Apple 🍎 did. Okay ... let me get off my soapbox (where I am shaking with excitement!) Just go register and watch this. I mean, it's Steve-freaking-Wozniak!!! Vale a leitura. 😀Danielle Contin gostou dissoDesde criança, eu sempre fui de conversar com o meu pai sobre estudos, carreira, negócios, política e outros assuntos de adulto, rs. Seguindo essa tradição, eu estava explicando para ele a plataforma de resiliência preemptiva que lançamos recentemente aqui na Sofist, 𝗮 𝗥/𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲. Mas convenhamos: para quem não é de TI, resiliência preemptiva não diz muita coisa... Então apelei para outro hábito que tínhamos em família: assistir a filmes de ação. 𝗔 𝗥/𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 é 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. Calma, eu explico! E já dando um spoiler, o meu pai entendeu, hahaha Minority Report é um filme dos anos 2000 que se passa em 2054 e gira em torno do conceito "pré-crime": 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗿 𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗮. No filme, a tecnologia zerou a taxa de homicídios porque a polícia agia e prendia os futuros criminosos antes do ato. Ético? Provável que não, mas não é este o ponto aqui, rs. Apesar de não estarmos punindo ninguém antecipadamente, 𝗮 𝗥/𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮çõ𝗲𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂é𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗶 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘇 𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿! Se no filme a polícia agia antes do crime acontecer, 𝗮 𝗥/𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘂𝗺𝗮 𝗮çã𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝘁ô𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗜𝗔 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹. Isso vai além da observabilidade e governança tradicionais... No fim, meu pai resumiu: "𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶, 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗵𝗮. 𝗩𝗼𝗰𝗲̂𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲́-𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗮 𝗧𝗜 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮." Confesso que achei a definição dele até melhor e mais direta do que a minha, rs. É impressionante como nossos pais têm capacidade de simplificar aquilo que a gente passa semanas tentando explicar com jargões corporativos. Muito do meu lado curioso, do meu gosto por negócios e dessa vontade de desafiar o status quo vem dessas conversas de domingo. Feliz Dia dos Pais para todos os pais, mentores e figuras de apoio que sempre nos incentivaram a pensar grande e a buscar respostas além do óbvio! E por aí, qual foi a metáfora mais inusitada que você já teve que inventar para explicar a sua rotina de TI para a sua família?

E olhando para trás, uma coisa me chama atenção: como é bom trabalhar em um lugar que te desafia constantemente e faz com que a segunda-feira não seja motivo de sofrimento desde a noite de domingo. No início deste ano vivi a maior conquista da minha carreira até aqui: fui reconhecido no Circle of Excellence em Aruba, após superar minha meta anual. O mais especial é que isso aconteceu justamente no meu primeiro ano em um escopo 100% comercial. Era uma meta que parecia ambiciosa demais para quem ainda estava “arrumando a casa”, e colocando tudo em ordem. Nada disso acontece sozinho. Sou muito grato às pessoas que fizeram parte dessa jornada, aos clientes que confiaram no meu trabalho e ao time que esteve ao meu lado durante esse caminho. Agora é seguir construindo. Que venham os próximos capítulos. 🚀 —- Time flies: tomorrow marks my 4th anniversary at Validity. Looking back, one thing stands out to me: how rewarding it is to work in a place that constantly challenges you and makes Monday mornings something to look forward to, instead of something to dread on Sunday night. Earlier this year, I celebrated the biggest achievement of my career so far: being recognized at Circle of Excellence in Aruba after exceeding my annual target. What makes it even more special is that this happened during my first year in a fully commercial role. It was a goal that felt almost too ambitious while I was still getting up to speed and putting all the pieces together. None of this happens alone. I’m incredibly grateful to the people who have been part of this journey, to the customers who trusted my work, and to the team that has supported me along the way. Now it’s time to keep building. Looking forward to the next chapters. 🚀
