- Altarpiece of Favours
is a new feature that grants The Penitent One passive boosts that help him go through his new journey, may it be through offensive or defensive boons. The Altarpiece of Favours allows for some customization depending on how the player would like The Penitent One to go through the game. Players will start with two boosts but can increase the number of boosts they can get in exchange for Marks of Martyrdom. The Altarpiece of Favours can be managed by talking to the Master Sculptor Montanes.
How does Altarpiece of Favours work?
It entails making use of the altar that sits on the back of The Penitent One to get passive boosts that will help him along his journey. To gain these boosts, players will have to equip figures to a slot in the Altarpiece of Favours. Each figure confers a different boost, like increasing the critical hit chance of attacks, or increasing resistance to attacks, etc. Players can mix and match these boosts from these figures to be able to customize their playstyle for The Penitent One as they would like or need. Players will start out with only two slots for a total of only two boosts. In exchange for Marks of Martyrdom, players can unlock more slots for more boosts. Players will need to turn in one Mark of Martyrdom to unlock one slot.
Where Can I Manage My Altar of Favours?
Players can access their Altarpiece of Favours through the Master Sculptor Montanes. He can be found in his studio in the City of the Blessed Name. When you meet him for the first time, he'll explain that he was charged with creating a sculpture of the Blessed Mother. To do so, however, he'll need the right tools and materials. He'll ask you to help him out in this endeavor, in exchange for unlocking the Altarpiece of Favours feature. He'll then give you the figure called The Traitor to start you out. When you talk to him, you can either turn over the items he needs, open your Altarpiece of Favours and changed the equipped figures therein, or choose to unlock slots in your Altarpiece of Favours, in exchange for Marks of Martyrdom.
