Web Tips & Notes
- Enwebbed Status Effect: Cannot move. Attack rolls against you have advantage, while your attack rolls have disadvantage. You also have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws.
AnonymousGrease - lvl 1 spell slot, no concentration.
Web - lvl 2 spell slot, concentration (!)
If you want a web, get a druid in spider form or a spider from the beast master ranger, both have an infinite web limited only by the action cost. Concentration and one of the three lvl 2 spells slots can be used much better (crown of madness, enlarge-reduce, moonbeam, hold person, blur).
Anonymousother than full commit into sorcerer, is there THAT big of a reason to use this over grease?
grease: lvl 1 spell, no concentration, 5m radius, reacts to fire/ice,
web: lvl 2 spell, concentration, 4m radius, reacts to fire,
grease - prone: disadvantage on dex/str saves, inflict full stun until next turn, attack rolls within 3m of target have advantage, automatically break concentration
web - enwebbed: disadvantage on dex saves, inflict disadvantage on attack rolls, attack rolls against target have advantage

If you cast web to a ground and jump to it, you will not suffer fall damage.
AnonymousIt mentions it's flammable- how does that work? Is it a single explosion or does it create the fire floor effect, or something else? How much damage does that do?

AnonymousOn patch 9 the dc of the spell does the correct calculation in the combat log, 8 + caster modifier + proficiency bonus but the number after = is always 12.
This makes the spell many times worse , as the webbed effect is the desirable part of the spell and the rought terrain is a bonus, considering that most targets just jump over or out of the spell effect if not enwebbed.
AnonymousHmm, on patch 7 for some reason web has a dex dc of 12 even with 18 INT while something like hold person has the correct dc of 14 at that point.

Important dex save - all bosses huge and have minimum dex, but they strong, and like Ketheric have passive vs prone. Its good knowledge use this for your advanatge!
