Nice Trick: As soon as you're able to equip them, you can rebuild your charakter class and reconfigure your basic ablities and use 8 points on strength to boost constitution to maximum. Even though you can skip boosting strength with your feat. Means you can easily go for "SavageAttacker" experiment with some barely ever used feats. When you're done, you put on the "Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength" and blow up your strength from 8 to 23. So it make sense to achieve these gloves asap. Same trick works with "Amulet of Greater Health" with another tanky charakter. Cheers

Damn there really are some absolute mouth-breathers in these comments. Respeccing isn't lame and "basically cheating", it's a quality of life feature and frankly, almost a necessity in a tactical game of this length and depth. If Larian wants to put items in the game that can be minmaxed with the respec feature, that's a balance decision NOT a representation of the power of the respec mechanic.

There are definitely "lame" and cheesy things in the game, like shoving, Shovel Invis, and various other elaborate precombat set-ups, but it's a single player game so if that's how people wanna play then that is good and viable gameplay. Also there's a not insignificant segment of gamers that LOVE to break games apart like that (thinking speed runners and the like).

The game isn't a perfect example of balance (look at Tavern Brawler), and that's not the end of the world.

I wonder if you agree to give them as payment for the entrance if it forces you to give them to her or if you can just leave lol I thought it was just a few potions she wanted but these... I want these lol

It's Gauntlets of Frost Giant Strength, now. In the files it reads "UNI_ARM_OfGiantHillStrength_Gloves" and the tooltip reference hill giants, but they probably realized 23 Strength is Frost Giant Strength and changed it.

The item name is wrong, they're the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength, not Frost. That would actually be higher.
