A: That when there is loss or damage to customer goods, freight carriers will just take care of it. The reality is that they don’t. And that’s why FreightInsure is on a mission to embed protection into every shipment. Q: What's the moment that made you realise the freight insurance industry needed to be completely rebuilt? A: When we were approached by a large freight carrier who needed to offer protection to their customers, but didn’t have the risk appetite or margin buffer to do so themselves. So we figured out a way to build protection into freight shipments without freight carriers taking the risk or cost. Q: What did building FreightInsure teach you about yourself that you didn't expect? A: That you don’t need all the answers. The market will quickly teach you what resonates with customers and what doesn’t. But you need the humility to recognise what the market is teaching you and adjust course accordingly.
