Yes and no. We do not own the original, physical works of art in our museum. To see those, you would literally have to travel around the world (and we highly recommend doing that if you can). But, in most cases, we, as much as anyone else, own the images of those works of art, which are in the public domain. Items in the public domain are owned by all of us. In some cases, where images of major artworks are still under copyright, and thus not in the public domain, we have licensed the rights to include those works in the museum.

In addition to supporting our museum (and, indirectly, museums around the world), membership gives you full access to the Art Authority Museum’s entire permanent collection as well as these membership-only features:

A key aspect of our mission at Art Authority is to help museums thrive. A big reason we've been pioneering Vision Pro technology is to guide our museum partners as it becomes mainstream.

Our plan is to first offer free galleries (rooms) within our Museum to any of our museum partners, to help them get started. Ultimately we hope to be a major resource for museums who want their own full virtual presence, similar to the Art Authority Museum but more fully representing their space and collection.

In another example of how the Art Authority Museum transcends the bounds of traditional museums, not only does each member get their own personal lounge, but you are able to copy any work of art in the museum (frame and all) into your lounge!

To copy a work to your lounge, tap on it to get a contextual menu, and select "Add to Member's Lounge". You can go to your lounge through the same menu, or the Entrance screen, which you can also use to view a list of items in your lounge, and remove or re-order items.

If you are logged into your iCloud account, your lounge is shared between all your devices.

And you can now, on visionOS 26, turn items in your Member's Lounge into widgets.

To access the Art Authority Museum, you must be using an Apple silicon Mac running Mac OS Sequoia 15.0 or later. Or an iPad or iPhone running iOS 18.7 or later.

Unlike on Vision Pro, on other platforms you can't just look around and tap your hands. We've tried to keep getting around on these devices as close to on Vision Pro as we can. The tutorial on each provides all the details.
