With advanced masking tools, you can manually or semi-automatically erase portions from one image and then blend that with another photo. From magic lasso, that cuts out an image from a roughly painted boundary to a simple brush masking tool, you can use wide range of masking tools to create all sorts of masking, using this app.
The app has tons of masking tools like brush, smart brush, magic wand, magic lasso, lasso, polygon, rectangle, ellipse, linear and radial gradient and color range. Text masking tool and you can even create a mask from an image.
And how do you cut out hair or fur of your pet? You can create fine mask of hair, using hair masking tool even to cut out hair!
To keep the flow simple, Superimpose works with two photos at a time. But you can keep merging and keep adding more and more layers of photos to create complex compositions.

Store all your cut outs, stickers or masks in a built-in mask library. For example, you can take photo of your products, mask them and then save them in the mask library. You can later add those cut outs on a background you want to add it to.
Create a fun photo by adding one part of the photo as a foreground and another photo as a background.
Save images in high resolution either in JPEG, PNG or HEIC format.

I’ve been using this app A LOT for 2+ years. Never had any problems with it. It does so many things so much better than other apps that do similar things. I haven’t found another app that I’d even consider replacing this one with. It’s easy to navigate, and I don’t know how to do photoshop and other complicated photo editing stuff. But I can figure this app out easy enough. Though I haven’t used all of its tools and tricks that it has available. I’ll leave that to those who know more than I about that stuff. That being said, it does everything I need it for and then some. I think it would be just as useful for the more advanced user as well, have to guess on that but I would recommend it to the advanced user as well as beginners. If you need it for fun or for more serious/formal uses, give it a try. Comes in handy at times. It’s one of those apps that I install on my phone first whenever I upgrade. I have got a lot of good use out of it and won’t be without it. Thanks for such a great app and a good job on the updates too. I’m always afraid one of the updates will mess up one of my favorite apps when a change is made to something but I haven’t had that happen here. I only have good things to say about it. Believe me when I say if there was anything I didn’t like or thought anyone should know I would not have a problem saying it. Like I said, it’s a must have app
Astonishingly good

I’d used this a couple of times in recent years for silly tasks, but last night I needed to do something a little more serious. Imported two family photos taken seconds apart with the intention of merging them such that one subject’s head was essentially copied to the other photo to create an image where all subjects were looking straight into the camera lens. Things were going nowhere fast until I watched a couple of the instructional videos linked to from within the app. I have zero masking/dodging/burning experience, yet in just several minutes I felt pretty well acclimated. Fast forward maybe 20 minutes and I had what was, dare I say, a FLAWLESS head migration. I pixel peeped my way to a giddy excitement. This is a shockingly good app and crazy intuitive once you understand some basic concepts. Absolute 10/10 app, no question. I wish I had known long ago just how powerful the tools were within.
Paywall

I have been using Superimpose since 2014, and let me tell you, it has been my go-to app for photo editing for over a decade. It’s been the most reliable, easy-to-use tool in my entire app library—hands down the most used app on my phone. For years, it’s been my secret weapon for editing, creating, and unleashing my creativity. But today? Today, I was hit with a paywall. Out of nowhere, a paywall. Really? You’ve gone from being a dependable, user-friendly app to locking everything behind a paywall?Let me make this clear: I’m beyond frustrated. This app has been my favorite for more than 10 years, and to suddenly be told I can’t access the features that made me love it in the first place is infuriating. After years of loyalty, I am now supposed to pay for something I’ve used without issue for free all this time? It feels like a slap in the face to the long-time users who have supported you. You didn’t give us any heads-up, any warning that this was coming. You just casually decided, “Hey, let’s charge them now.”This is absolutely unacceptable for a once amazing app. You need to change this back and return the functionality we’ve come to rely on for free. If you think your users are going to stand by this ridiculous move, you are sorely mistaken. You’ve lost me, and many others, with this decision. You’ve essentially taken the one app that stood out above the rest and turned it into just another money-grab. This was an app worth recommending—now, I’m actively telling people to stay away. Fix this, or you’ll watch your loyal base disappear.

New Update
Manturaya
I’ve been using this app for over 10 years and it always worked perfectly.. to the point where I’ve been able to avoid learning Adobe photoshop completely. I work in graphic design, and your recent reformatting of the app tools has completely ruined my user experience. It takes me 20 minutes to edit what I used to be able to edit in 30 seconds because you guys decided to switch everything up. It’s absolutely disappointing and disruptive.. I’ve never written a review in my life but I sincerely feel so much rage every time I go use your app now that I felt I had to do something. I kindly ask you reconsider your new update- I would love to continue using superimpose and I’m afraid I’ll be deleting it permanently if the issue remains. I’ve been using this update for weeks, as you can see.. my review is “late” because I truly tried to get used to the new update, but it’s horrendous. Firstly.. We don’t need an app homepage. It’s useless. And if you do want to have it.. make it a separate button. Don’t make it the app homepage. The previous blank canvas, “ready to go” homepage was perfect. Secondly, tools do not need to be at the bottom of my screen. They need to return to where you placed the new (useless) home button. Finally, the new “tools” button.. also useless. No need for that useless, confusing button. Return all the tool buttons to where they used to be.. everybody understood where to find them. No need for “tools” when in reality the tool you are looking for is the “brush” button for masking that opens the options of the other brushes. If you’re gonna do a “tool” button.. why wouldn’t the other brush option tools be in there too? They’re not in there because your app is CONFUSING AFF Now!
