Congratulations Photobucket, you are the first app i’ve ever felt the need to review on the app store. I am also one of the many who joined photobucket back in the good ol days when you didn’t have to pay to for imaginary storage. The only justification for the degradation of quality that my photos/videos experienced storing them on photobucket was the fact that it was free. And then, like other reviews have mentioned, one day they decided nope no longer free and in order to access YOUR OWN PERSONAL content, you now have to pay. They literally hold your photos/videos hostage. When you contact customer service, you get a 7 day free trial to have access to your account to then download everything off of the platform. However, the only way to do this is by downloading each individual photo one by one. I have over 4,500 images and videos i need to download. I don’t even think it would be physically possible to do so in a mere 7 days. It should literally be illegal to keep peoples personal content hostage the way they are.

Greed ruined a great thing
Tanya McLeod
Been a user for many many many years. I had many things saved, made sure to keep it below the storage limit because I'm disabled and can't afford to pay. Then they added a limit to the amount of files along with keeping the same storage limit that I NEVER went over. So I was still under size limit, but suddenly over the limit of amount of stuff saved. Ridiculous and extremely shady business move! Years of making sure to sign in just to make sure my photos were still there until now when they removed all free accounts. Thanks for keeping my stuff hostage for years only for you to delete my account. All my stuff is gone, my stuff, stuff sent to me, my memories. Stuff uploaded from a dying computer. Memories that will be forgotten because I have memory issues. All this time I thought it would be my brain taking my memories first, but nah, corporate greed beat me to it. So thank you very much. Hope your happy with the extra money you get from the people who actually paid the ransom for their photos.
Great job in running a business like jerks!!

Like many people, I’m getting a bunch of emails from saying my account is going to be deleted… only to find out.. you now require a bunch of money for me to access the photos that was free. The company offered a free storage site… and made money off advertisements and other companies. But now… that you have everyone’s photos stored… you hold them hostage and demand money. You completely changed what was originally advertised to people as free. What was once a great company and business plan… your company Ontela decided to purchase photobucket and run it like bullys… telling everyone that they need to pay in order to get their pictures back. You wouldn’t be such slimeballs if you at least offered people a way to take the photos they want without paying…And try to win their business by offering new storage plans for subscriptions. But your not… you’re going for a money grab and forcing people to pay in order to access their photos.. so they can save them somewhere else.Wow… I’m just amazed at what jerks a company can be…*Copied from Wikipedia*Even years after abandoning free accounts, Photobucket keeps sending email "offers" that variously attempt to cajole or threaten users to switch to the paid plan.I guess your happy with everyone… even Wikipedia knowing that you run a business by threatening people and holding their millions of photos hostage.

Terrible…

I opened a Photobucket account way back when it was free - then I forgot about it. I just received an email saying “don’t forget me! Or I will expire!”. I go through the process of resetting my password and figured it’s time to upload more pictures. However, I find out that I cannot access some of my pictures because:1. There are 399 photos saved in my bucket, and half weren’t available due to being over my “free” access limit. (However, half of the 399 were erroneous duplicates to entice me to purchase the membership.)I thought about it, and decided just delete the duplicates and then I’ll be back to my “free limit”. The only issue - I was not able to do anything with the videos, so I said forget it and bought the smallest plan. The order went through for $4 for 6months. Not bad, if the app would work. Now I can’t see any of my pictures - it’s just constantly loading. I figured maybe it’s my laptop acting crazy, so I downloaded the app on my phone. Not a huge surprise, but not working there either. This is super frustrating and inconvenient. Photobucket needs to fix the bugs in their system, and release my photos to me.
Glow up complete. New navigation, new look, and a better way to organize your world.
