Now even better with Apple Silicon support and improved handling of pages protected by authentication.
This small, yet very useful Safari extension adds a simple toolbar button that allows you to quickly save relevant page information into the OmniFocus 3, where you can get to it later. Supports automatic assignment to tags and projects.
OmSave will try to fetch the page metadata, like page description and main image, and store it in the note attached to the OmniFocus entry, alongside the link.
If a page didn't have any images, or we for some reason, couldn't find them, OmSave will store a screenshot of that page instead, for your reference. If you don't want the attached image, it can be disabled in the settings.

Doesn't work correctly on all webpages

My use case for this extension was to create Todo tasks for scheduling Google Docs/Sheets/Slides for review at a later time. This extension doesn't really work for this, as the "Title" and other fields that it prepopulates are mangled boilerplate despite being correct and available in the actual HTML.I sent a two support emails about this bug over the period of a few weeks, but never received a response. In a lot of ways this is the best OmniFocus extension for any browser, but it doesn't work at all for my use case. Unfortunately you can't find that out until after purchase, and the author is completely unresponsive so it's unclear if it'll ever be fixed.Update: It did take awhile, but eventually the developer got back to me with the source of the issue. A few weeks after that version 1.2.1 was released, the resolves the above issue so I'm updating the score. Thanks for investaging and implmenting a solution!
Great tool for all OmniFocus users

I'm a long-time OmniFocus user and was always annoyed by how it saves URLs from Safari without any meta information. Really glad I found this little app! Now all my URLs saved to Inbox have proper titles, URLs, and even descriptions so I can easily search them in OmniFocus.
Didn't work for me and tech support absent

Sounded like a good idea so I bought this extension. However, while it will create a new item in OmniFocus it consistently also creates a new folder titled "Miscellaneous" to put it in. (It's supposed to put it in your Inbox.)I wrote to the developer who responded quickly with a fix. I wrote back when that fix didn't work and never heard back after that.If this works for you it's a kinda nice, although you can accomplish same thing with clipper service in OmniFocus. But caveat emptor: Tech support is absent.
What a brilliant piece of work!

I have loved OmniFocus for years, and always thought there must be a better way to get information into the app. Well, here it is!!
• Apple Silicon support.
• Fix duplicate todos created in certain scenarios.
• Much better handling of pages protected by authentication.
• Other small bug fixes.
