I’m probably not the typical user of Morpholio Trace: I am an archaeologist who studies the architecture of ancient Greece and Rome. That said, my needs are similar to at least some of those of architects and designers. I draw (to precise scale) the broken marble blocks of temples in order to reconstruct on paper the original appearance of these complex structures. I learned how to produce publishable drawings the “old fashioned” way, using rapidograph pens, ink, and Mylar. Morpholio Trace allows me to do everything I used to do with pen and ink, only MUCH more quickly and, I dare say, more accurately. There is a bit of a learning curve, but if I can master it, anybody can because I am no whiz when it comes to using apps, to put it mildly. The instruction manual for Morpholio Trace is very well organized; by combining that with the many videos available I have had no trouble figuring out the different functionalities. And how flexible and varied are these functionalities! Just a terrific product. But there’s even more. The support Morpholio Trace offers is second to none. I had a difficulty using one feature (turned out NOT to be Trace’s fault, by the way). I emailed back and forth with one person over the course of a week in order to get to the bottom of the issue. An actual person who really wanted to help me solve the issue! How good is that?! But there’s more. Trace listens to the suggestions of users and moves to add features to the app. I’m not an effusive type normally, but I really can’t say enough about Morpholio Trace. I am just so happy to have found it.

I work in the screen enclosure industry in south Fl. And basically the way most companies work in the industry is like this, after the contract is signed, they send a measureman (that's my role) to measure the pool deck, and house, and with the engineering, I hand draw a shop layout so we can prefabricate the enclosure for installation. The builder that we subcontract for has housing properties as far as 2 hours drive from my home, so there's days where I'll get home after 6:30/7:00 at night, hand drawing layouts until 1:00am wasn't working well for me. Other then using autocad, which bigger companies use sometimes, I was kinda hopeless for a solution. Enter the amazing iPad Pro, and this amazing app called Trace, now with the help of the Apple Pencil and Trace, I'm able to draw up a whole library of blank layouts, input the measurements on site and send as pdf through a files app to our shop, where the the layouts are copied and handed to our fabrication boss. This app has cut my workload times in half. No complaints about it at all, if I had one thing to complain about? It would be that every now and then when zooming in for fine detail work, the page gets disorientated and flips sideways, but for the time saving that this app has helped with, Thats a minor complaint and not really worth speaking of. To the developers of Trace, programmers, and everyone from the top down to the bottom. Thank you. For putting out an app that simply just works excellently. And for giving me my evenings back. It's a great app that is simple to use and can be applied to so many different needs. I love it.

I currently rate this app with Fivestars because it is the best I have found on the market at the price point they offer. it is also really a great App! It is only a few years old and it is not marketed nor produced by some big tech company and for that, I award them five stars. Of course, there are some challenges in usability for me as a landscape designer (not enough variety of landscape materials, inability to adjust pattern size relative to the object that is being patterned, popping the length of a curved line for length) but the program makes up for these merits with ease of editing, number of layers available, the magic ruler, and a few other things. I recommend this sketching app with my highest recommendation. I have tried a few and been very disappointed, especially for how much I paid for them. One more thing… The BEST customer service that I have experienced in purchasing apps! I have asked some technical questions and made a number of suggestions for improvement. The tech team has been quickly responsive to my issues and added my suggestions to their list of improvements, which are happening every month or so. Really, I could ask for nothing more… Except to stick to it and keep on improving. 🥰

This is a favor I’m doing for this company, give them five stars. In truth it would be 3.5 instead of a 5. Why? The usability of the program is still a bit clunky. I must say however there is a massive potential waiting to be unleashed and if handled properly will give the established cad company a good run for their money. Speaking from an architectural point of view drawing objects like walls needs to be more streamlined with much less steps. What would be a big plus is if you could easily assign a dimension as you draw. Another great feature if they could get it to work would be to define an object and give the user the ability to stamp the object at will on the drawing. There is something presently, but it is a bit cumbersome to get to.On a whole this program is really not bad, I like it a lot and would encourage design aspirants to check it out for themselves. And by the way asking someone for a five star rating is unsavory and a bit distasteful in my book. Your rating should be organically derived on the basis of merit. Ok so maybe I could honestly give them a 4 instead of a 3.5. Apart from the versatility of the product the price / value ratio is extraordinary high.Go ahead and give them a shot. I’m already convinced.
