Now, for some bit of context. I Have been speedrunning 2d Platformers for a few months now. I mainly run Puzzle Platformers and Troll Platformers. When I was scrolling through 2d Platformers, I came across this game. I was about to go on a long trip from Utah to LA and thought, why not? I saw that reviews said the game had potential, but was too short. Despite this, I downloaded it. I started a few hours into the drive, and beat the game in around 45 minutes. And I thought, wow! The Gameplay was very impressive, with the challenges and puzzles being difficult at times but very satisfying to beat. I especially thought that the final level was impressive, because it took all the skills and Mechanics in the game, and applied them for a challange that was difficult but fun. I’m planning on speedrunning the game as soon as I get back from my trip. I practiced a few times at the hotel and got pretty decent times. In the context of speedrunning, I think the game length is perfect. In terms of Casual play, I still think it’s great because it’s length allows anyone to beat it with enough practice and not get intimidated by the length. I do have a few suggestions to improve this game or add in a sequel or future release. 1. A practice mode: A game I love to speedrun is called Choppy Orc. It has a practice mode with makes it much easier for practice, obviously. It just allows you to play a level over and over again. 2. Customization: This isn’t a big deal, but it would be cool to change an avatar’s color, outfit, etc. Overall, the game is amazing and I’m really excited for future releases. Keep up the great work!Update: Thanks for that information fellow Utahan (I live in Salt Lake) I’ll defiantly be joining that group. Thanks, -SpeedyBeagle
Hey fellow Utahn (maybe), thanks for the great review. There’s a small discord group doing speedruns, and they post to speedrun.com.
