I enjoy learning new things (mainly mechanical things) as much as I possibly can. But I also would like to absorb just as much as much knowledge in the areas of finance, personal growth, and health, but many if not all that info is locked away between two rectangle shaped pieces of hard cardboard wrapped in Vinyl or leather protecting many sheets of paper covered in black letters almost leaving no space to notice that the paper was once a white blank sheet. I’m not one to like having or hearing excuses, but having been diagnosed with ADHD later in my years, I always though day dreaming and reading went together, or trying to read focusing on what I read repeating the words to myself in my head would help me remember the text that I honestly wanted to remember. But just as I would repeat it to myself and finishing the chapter, I would remember bits a pieces and just like that all was forgotten. And not wanting to let people know, I would find ways to get others to explain their thoughts on the book and pretty much piece together a few people’s thoughts or take on said read, and come up with my own thoughts by taking things from each person’s rendering of the story to make my own. Since the first days of Audiobooks and realizing that’s how I can absorb the same things all the readers of the world are enjoying and learning about I was able to do the same and I never looked back. Headway has changed that with Audios for me because the areas I am eagerly looking for growth In they have summarized the books with the important info and compressed it into a short/summary allowing me to get the information I need in a timely manner allowing for multiple sources of info at a higher rate. The fact, that you can listen to book summary for free before you have to spend money on a subscription that costs $15 per month is ridiculous how pricy it is just to listen to summaries when there is Apple Podcasts that allow you to listen for free, this is just way to get people to spend $15 per month just to listen to book summaries that should actually be for free like Apple Podcasts are free why can’t book summaries be free, this isn’t fair to anyone who enjoys to hear book summaries and yes it can prevent scrolling but the pricing being offered right away it’s unfair, However the pricing that it puts pressure onto the people who want to listen book summaries to pay right away just to continue listening to more than one is absolutely ridiculous. Please make this app free, podcasts should be meant for people to enjoy to be entertained not to just be forced to pay money. This is also just my opinion/perspective for someone who likes listening to book summaries/likes summaries. Please do consider making this app for free with no subscription just for people to enjoy, maybe just offer app-purchases of newly released book summaries that are like $5-$10, thank you for reading this review I hope you consider making these improvement to make this app become more of a success

I really wanted to like this app and would have gladly paid for it, had I felt it would be worth the money. Unfortunately, the summaries are completely worthless. I was expecting the summaries to be highly condensed versions of the full size, trimming away the fat of little anecdotes and long-winded preamble you typically find in non-fiction or self help books. Instead it seems like the summaries were written by very clumsy A.I. or someone who skimmed the back covers of the books at most and didn’t even bother to actually read the books themselves before writing any of the summaries—perhaps a hungover college student doing odd jobs to put ramen on the table. I even read summaries of books I’d already read in full—to get an idea of how good the summaries are—and I was shocked at how they were able to have entire paragraphs written down and still manage to not communicate anything of substance. I came out of each summary having gained no new knowledge and having learned nothing. It’s just fluff text. Also after downloading, I immediately started getting bombarded with notifications to get a “streak” going. I think they missed the point about self help: it takes time to implement. If you’re just jumping from reading one summary to the next like they pressure you to “commit” to, you’ll never even have time to focus on doing the things you’ve learned about—that would be, if there actually was anything to learn from the summaries in the first place. Don’t waste your time or money.
