Small, fun game with a few minor issues

this is a nice little game to play in the background. my main issue is that the game gets a bit repetitive, as you'll be playing the same holes over and over again, although over time as you upgrade your equipment the way approach these holes will change. this isn't a great game to give 100% focus to, but rather something to go along with something else, like listening to music.the micro-transactions aren't too annoying, and usually only give players faster progression which doesn't mean much because without spending time in earlier courses they'll fail at higher levels. i say usually, because this is with the exception of being able to buy better balls with gems. players can also do this, but since they acquire gems at a much slower rate, they're going to be forced to buy worse balls and therefore have a direct disadvantage as a result. i haven't actually encountered this as an issue yet, but considering how many people play the game and the fact that you can do this in the first place means that it's a problem.repetitiveness and micro-transactions are basically my only issues about this game (although i would also recommend revamping putting to make it less easy, not every putt that isn't extremely long should be guaranteed). overall, this is a fun small game to play on the side, and i would recommend giving it a try. it has a few issues, but these aren't enough to detract much from the experience or even bump my rating down to 4 stars. hope you enjoyed and/or got something out of my review :)

Like this game, it’s fun and addicting! Each dual poses you against a single competitor, with a 30 second time limit on each shot. Winner takes the coins put up by each player! If the match ends in a tie, a one shot Shoot-Out takes place with the player closest to the hole winning! It does, however, take patience to slowly gather coins, rubies, and upgrade your clubs to compete and, thus, move up levels. As you move up, each level unlocks different golf courses that are progressively more difficult, and have higher wind levels, but you win more coins, rubies, and have access to better clubs. I don’t like the fact that the makers obviously push you to spend real money to buy special golf balls, rubies, and treasure boxes that give players a real and significant advantage competing and are used to upgrade golf clubs quicker! In my opinion, during Shoot-Outs, both players should have to use normal balls to make the match a bit more fair. In addition, the pairing at times are very, I mean VERY UNEVEN, especially after you move up a few levels. Especially, if you area player that doesn’t spend real money on special balls, rubies, etc. It is extremely frustrating at times! The wind effects on the flight of the golf ball are also a bit frustrating, as they seem inconsistent at times, as are some funny and strange bounces that don’t always make sense. Finally, on new holes, the 30 second time limit is short to figure out a decent strategy to play the hole. Overall, I would give the game 3-1/2 stars!

Too many glitches

It seems the developers are using the players as lab rats, gladly accepting their money, then when contacted, give trite, condescending answers, like it’s our faults for not sending screen shots, etc. Take our word for it, as I am sure you get the same complaints over and over. Then, have the balls to give us a few, the cheapest on the shopping list. These “bugs” still happened after I updated the app. The ball went back to my partner’s tee after we both teed off and froze there, even though calls. The ball was putted and driven for me one game after another and I didn’t even have to touch the ball. At least it could have given me “PERFECT SHOT”S, but cost me the games and coins. The last very annoying feature is the reconnecting screen that doesn’t allow me to see there shot. Why doesn’t their timer start like mine did on the red #4 before I even started to prep-no ball adjustment, no range arrangement, just took the ball out of the basket AND AWAY MY TIME WAS GONE. SO, the game has control over letting others not start their time down on shots (they seem to get more time, especially when reconnecting), regular shots, putts, drives, and gives me the worst lies when controlling my game. You can always set me up with a far superior golfer, as you can usually do, I’ll just learn more. I should have a trophy for holding my cool on the course-not with you condescending, let them go attitudes and chip in queen. As usual, disrespectfully to the playdemic unhelpful team!, LAD

Golf Clash has adopted the trash concept of Season Passes in an effort to generate revenue similarly to what Fortnite and Call of Duty Modern Warfare did. The difference is that those two did not put notification numbers on items that weren’t available to us, they just showed us the image. Playdemic purposely puts season pass challenge notifications in the same area where the free account weekly and daily challenges are located to keep your attention focused on what paid perks are available IF YOU PAY UP LOLS and to generate a psychological response that forces someone to intentionally feel the “fear of missing out”/FOMO and force our brains to make decisions because we are susceptible to the dopamine-reward response pathway in our brains. This is not okay and playdemic should provide an option to allow these side by side notifications to be turned off that keep prompting us to look at free account challenges next to the paid-for season pass challenges.UPDATE: Playdemic finally responded and said they will use ,y feedback in future updates. Therefore I have changed my rating to reflect that. It will not get a 5 star rating yet however, because it took longer than it probably should have to respond. However, if Playdemic actually adds in a feature to remove said golf pass notifications I’ll amend my rating further upward to a 5 star rating.
