Been playing Episodes for everrrr. It’s one of my guilty pleasures lol. I stopped playing it because I kept spending too much (not a lot, but I hate spending real money on freemium games) on the cute outfits. Love that they added this to the arcade! Sure, the stories and dialogue are cheesy, but they’re cute love stories! I hope that they incorporate more stories from the original, freemium game onto this version!Not loving the other reviews that feel offended that players can only choose one gender or the other to date. It’s a silly, simple game that doesn’t have a lot of features. It’s true that all you do is pick which outfit to wear, and that most of the dialogue choices will end up giving you the same responses from the characters you’re speaking to. The only time it affects the ending are for the stories that you choose who you want to end up with. But the developers aren’t making a stand on pan or bi “erasure”(this is coming from a bisexual woman!), it’s literally just easier for the developers to have you choose at the beginning whether you want to date a masculine or feminine character. For almost all of the stories, you’re literally going to be dating one character. How can they incorporate multiple genders if you only have eyes for ONE character??? Just edit them to make them look how you want to? I will argue that there should be more body types, especially for the guys. I wish we could make a masculine plus-size love interest!Anyways, it’s a basic game aimed at teenagers. I honestly wouldn’t expect much more variety from this game. Play it and enjoy the silly little love stories written by mediocre writers (sorry y’all), or don’t.

I believe that this game would be 10x better if you just imported all the episode stories onto it. There currently aren’t nearly enough stories for it, and there’s literally NO stories that are in a world of magic and who would just want romance, man. To me personally, romance is gross. What I want to be is a prince/princess fighting for their homeland, or a student at a magic school who’s familiar is a dragon. Even better would be a story where YOU are the dragon and the prince/princess ran away from home and came to you and you decided to save them. Stories like that are what make games like this worthwhile. I play games like this for the chance to slip into another world for a while- another life that I would never have any ability to be in because it’s just not in the realm of possibility for my world. More stories that don’t just involve romance would be wonderful and would make me play it more and recommend it to my friends.

This game is a massive improvement from the original Episode. The removal of the premium currency is easily the best feature. Now I don’t have to worry about being forced into a flimsy or downright stupid option because I don’t have enough gems— I can just do whatever I want. And no more taking sketchy surveys just to get gems to begin with. The next feature which I’m really on the fence about is character customization. On one hand, it’s a big improvement from the original Episode because both the vast array of skin tones and the plus size body are available on all of the stories, but on the other hand the hairstyles and hair colors specifically are quite limited. I want to make a character that looks like me— but it’s always just a little off because I can never find the right hair. Another problem, which is a relatively major flaw, is the stories, or the lack thereof. It would be wonderful if all the stories were transferred over onto this game, or at least a bigger selection of stories. With less than 20 stories to go through, it doesn’t take long to get sick of this game. It desperately needs more stories. Besides those two things, I enjoy the game and would recommend it if you like Episode.

I've read The Neighbor and wanted to go back through and read it again. According to the start of the story, there's a "points system" that gives you access to special scenes depending on the choices you make in the story. For starters, there's no indication whatsoever of the "points" readers just have to hope that they get the special scenes. Second of all, I've re-read it so many times and made almost every combination just for none of them to be good enough to earn the special scenes. I, personally, think it's absurd for you to have a "points system" in game and then past the opening scene where it tells you to "make the correct decisions" NEVER address them again. Something needs to be figured out though because I love the game. This issue needs to be resolved because readers are missing CRUCIAL parts of the story because of the "points" they don't have. Every time i get to a special scene, the screen says "calculating points" then always says I don't have enough to access all the "special scenes." I'm starting to think the special scenes don't even exist, and if they don't, then don't advertise a points system and special scenes if readers will never attain them.
