I think this is the first review I’ve ever left in the App Store, BUT Book Tracker: TBR is the fourth app I’ve used for logging my personal library, and it far surpasses the rest. There are many different features and info fields, and it’s easy to use what you want while ignoring the features that aren’t what you’re looking for. It’s simple to add books (and there are three different ways to go about it), to edit book info, and to categorize with custom labels. Because of this app, I’m tracking my reading for the first time since childhood summer reading programs, and I appreciate being able to track pages, minutes, or both for any book (especially helpful when following along with an audiobook or switching back and forth between formats). I use three of the widgets on my home page: pages read, minutes listened, and an ongoing shuffle of quotes I’ve added (I love reading a variety throughout the day!). The visual design of the app is attractive and at-home on my iPhone, and I’ve encountered very few glitches in the app’s operation. Furthermore, the app developer continues improving this app; several times I’ve thought, “I love this app, though I wish they’d change or add _____.” And several times an update has released that included the very change I hoped for. I love this app; I encourage every friend to get it who mentions personal library/reading apps; and I think it’s well worth the one-time cost. Thank you for designing such a great app, Simone Montalto! I look forward to many more years of using it! 📚
Clean design & easy to use

The layout is clean and doesn’t overwhelm me. I have tried several book tracking apps but they overwhelm me with graphs and too much info to imput and/or they were ugly. I like that the organization in this app can be as detailed as you want without it being visually/mentally overwhelming. I think it’s nice that it has a section to log if you have loaned out a book so you can remember to check back with the person at some point. Something that isn’t really a necessity but would be nice is if there was a setting to choose the default way we read. I almost always read audiobooks so it would be nice to set that as the default format when selecting a book. EDIT: I am trying to add locations to all my books. But the selection options I made for the location, bookcase, shelf sections almost never show up. I have to re-type them every time I want to add a location to a new book. Since my books are all audiobooks, I chose to type the location as the setting of the book (e.g. medieval France), the bookcase as the app I have access to the book (e.g. Scribd), and the shelf is for the type of access I need for the book (e.g. free with sub). It’s not really a huge deal day-to-day, but I am trying to backlog 50 books so the increased effort is noticed.
I love this app I just have one suggestion!!!

I absolutely love this app. As soon as I started using it, I wanted to switch all my book/reading tracking so I instantly bought the premium version. Currently going through the process of brining everything over from my other apps (goodreads/StoryGraph) but I had one quick question. Im making locations for multiple different collections. I have multiple shelves thst have different genres and types of books fiction/creative nonfiction/memoir/poetry/spirituality/information/philosophy/politics/etc and i want to make sure everything is in the right spot. Whenever I tap the ‘+’ when I am in the tab for a specific location to add a book to this specific location, I add the book but then I see that it was just added to my general library and then I have to manually go in and move that book to that location. I think thst if I open up a location and add a book entry from inside that location, that that book should automatically go into that location. It would be really helpful with adding stuff so I don’t have to then find the entry and manually add a specific location status after the fact!!I know this is so small of a thing but it would be really cool and I also see that there seems to be developers of this app who are really dedicated to making it better and that’s part of the reason I really want to support it!
Amazing. (Not sure what to put. Lol)

Still would be amazing if we could get subfolders. That was we can organize what is in our original folders. I absolutely love this app. It’s so organized and allows you to add how many books you want. Love the fact that we can add books to the borrowed section and it doesn’t mess up the count to our already owned books. I like staying organized and this has helped big time. But it would be cool if we can add folders inside folders on the series section . Say we have it organized to where multiple books are grouped into one series folder. Say we have folders dedicated to only, paperback, hardcover, digital, manga and more. In each of those is multiple different series. We already have them grouped by what they are. In a subfolder in each, we could group each of the series together. That way you still have the original folder setup and the subfolders with each of the series in the main folder. I tried grouping each book series on its own and to me, it was an organized disaster. My brain didn’t like that. The way it is now, is better but would be nice to be able to group the books together while keeping them in the original folder.
* Fixed a crash that could happen while searching online for a new book
* Fixed a crash that could happen when opening the page for scanning barcodes with the camera on some devices
