Gossip Harbour is extremely addictive, the merging mechanics and town-building elements are genuinely fun and keep you coming back. It’s easy to spend days trying to complete levels and unlock new content.Unfortunately, as you get deeper into the game, the difficulty spikes so sharply that making meaningful progress without spending money becomes almost impossible. The game increasingly feels engineered to slow you down unless you purchase gems, extra energy, or other advantages & items.I’ve been playing for over a year and have spent nearly $1,000 on this game, yet it’s still frustratingly difficult to get things done in a timely way without paying. What started as a fun pastime quickly became a cycle of “play a little → hit a wall → decide whether to pay to continue.”If you enjoy Gossip Harbour casually and don’t mind microtransactions, which turn into megatransactions after they notice a pattern of you paying.. then it has plenty moments of fun. But if you’re hoping for a fair balance between challenge and free progression, you’ll likely find it frustrating and expensive. Proceed with caution, the addictive gameplay is real, but so is the pressure to spend to advance.
We truly understand your feelings. The game is designed with the intention of allowing all players, whether free or paying, to enjoy the fun. We will continuously optimize game balance to ensure that every player can achieve a sense of accomplishment.
