I’m using Capcut for the last 7 months professionally. I came from using Premiere and Capcut is one of most complete editing software to create Sosial media videos. I have the pro edition and in every video I create I use at least 2-3 pro features. I’m very pleased with Capcut.The only downside is that I see a couple of differences in Mac and Windows edition. Also there are different things in the App version.
A Disappointing Shift to Paywalls

I’ve been using CapCut for 3–4 years, and it used to be one of the best free editing apps out there. It had all the essential tools without restrictions, making it easy to edit without worrying about costs. But recently, with the introduction of CapCut Pro, the app has taken a frustrating turn.Instead of simply adding extra perks for paying users, CapCut has locked many basic features behind a paywall. Tools that were once free—like certain effects, text options, and export settings—now require a Pro subscription. This makes it incredibly difficult to edit without paying, especially for those of us who have been using it for years without restrictions.I understand that developers need to make money, but CapCut handled this poorly. Instead of offering new premium features, they took away existing free ones, which feels unfair to long-time users. If they had kept the basics free and added new Pro-exclusive tools, the change would have been more acceptable.For those who rely on CapCut for free editing, this is a huge disappointment. If you’re looking for a completely free alternative, it might be time to explore other apps. CapCut is no longer the accessible editor it once was.
Constantly used it but suddenly everything became PRO

I’ve been using CapCut since late 2023 and continuing to use it though it’s very hard to edit without getting the Pro subscription which is very annoying because I’ve “mastered” CapCut and now all my favourite, smooth and nice transitions and fonts are gone. I still love the app but the thing with the subscriptions is so crazy that I started editing a video in a morning then I took a brake and the next morning the font that I used was now in the subscription… please. I know that you somehow want to get paid but please at least like the “mix” transition! ALSO! I can not export over 720p for free? ARE WE INSANE?

I’ve been using this app for years and I have to say it have incredible features, it provides you with many useful advanced tools and on top of that it’s incredibly easy to use. However, the pro features have become ridiculous. I understand having some of the most advanced features locked for pro, but the company has become so greedy that has locked features that once were free. Whatever possibility that was available to milk money out of the app they’ve taken advantage of. It’s a shame to see what this app has turn out to be after so many years of assisting me
