The game is a step up from last year. The customisation and build on MyCareer is much better and the shot meter is better. The endorsement feature is a 10/10. However, there’s a few bugs tho. There’s an VC bug in MyCareer where you can’t upgrade the attributes. For me, it says 80,000 VC spent and when I go to increase an attribute, it added onto that 80k VC. And obviously, because it don’t have 80,000 VC, it says not enough VC.This became a problem after I upgraded past 92 rated overall. Finally, can I say, when you have lots of excess storage on your iPhone, you shouldn’t have to re-download on main screen every time. So that shouldn’t be a problem.Anyways, it’ll be a great game once the bugs are fixed.

If you’re thinking of buying Apple Arcade for this game I would highly recommend it.The graphics are outstanding and the gameplay feels almost like the console version in my opinion. However it can definitely improve.Firstly the Career has improved but it still feels full and repetitive. There is no goat Tier to try an reach for. There are no real cutscenes that acknowledge me for breaking records. All I get is my record on the big screen and the crowd clapping for me. Also a story mode would be really cool with some cutscenes.Next please bring back all the features from 2k20. I think there was the NBA Draft and the draft combine as well as summer camp. Also i believe there College Basketball. In here you just go straight to the NBA as 18th pick which doesn’t make sense.Third If it’s possible maybe adding the direct copy of Neighbourhood would get this game to another level.Finally I’ve noticed some features that could have been easily added aren’t there like the Mamba Takeover and a bunch of other badges.What I’m essentially saying for this review is make the next game as close as possible to the Console and PC version. Some people want to buy Apple Arcade just for this game and they’re actually paying more money than just buying the actual game for something so much less.Overall this is still probably the best sports game on the AppStore in terms of graphics and gameplay but to anyone who is reluctant just wait for 2k25 Arcade and I’ll make a review on it to help.

While this game is a massive step up from previous games I do feel like there’s room for improvement. Changing the jump meter was definitely needed but I do feel the game is very unbalanced in a lot of ways, defence while being much improved can be very much exaggerated especially by players rated lower than you. The amount of unnecessary foul calls or even lack there of is quite frustrating. The shot timing at times can be a little delayed and sometimes when making a lay up over a smaller the defender the green window is a lot larger but the moment they contest it shrinks too quickly to even make the proper timing of it. Also VC for attributes is definitely bugged and needs fixing. I would love for the game to have monthly or bi weekly updates.

I’ve never left a game review but I’ve had to for this game. I enjoy the gameplay and I guess the customisability of my career is nice etc. But the fact you have to update EVERY single time you open the app which takes 5/15 minutes before you can even get into playing is laughable and that you can’t even download the commentary after many many attempts is a joke. Whoever is giving this game 5 stars is either a bot or permanently keeps the game open to not have to sit through the 15 minute download screen everytime they reopen the app. Also - with my career being 98% an offline mode, why do I ALWAYS need to be connected to internet.!?
