I’ve been using this app for a week now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most useful and well-designed tools I’ve ever come across. The team behind this app has done an incredible job—congratulations on creating something so intuitive and powerful! The app is lightning-fast, beautifully designed, and works seamlessly across multiple platforms. The syncing is flawless, and I love how easy it is to pick up where I left off, no matter which device I’m using. It’s so well-crafted that it feels like something Apple itself would create—maybe even better! One feature I’d love to see in the future is the ability to fully organize my maps into folders or categories. I’ve created quite a few maps already, and having a folder structure within the app would take my organization and productivity to the next level. Overall, this app has already become an essential part of my workflow. It’s intuitive, reliable, and a joy to use. Thank you to the team for such a fantastic product—I can’t wait to see how it evolves! Keep up the amazing work! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a powerful, user-friendly tool. Five stars without a doubt! 🌟

Thank you so much for the nice feedback:) We appreciate it very much! Also, we're happy to hear MindNode Next is enhancing your workflow this much. To make it even better, we're already working on Folders. So stay tuned for when this feature will be added in the future. Best regards,Jessica
This is 'cloud only'. They've hidden the old file-based version, even from subscribers.
StopHasslingMe
They're so obsessed with making their mindmapper cloud-only, which is incredibly inconvenient if you have to work offline and depend on being able to make your own backups (backups are impossible under this new model! Something goes wrong, you're out of luck.) I don't understand how obstinate this company is to completely overturn and remove their old file-based storage systems. I got Soulver 4, which also uses 'cloud' storage - which makes sense for transitory documents, not files you need to back up and process locally - but even *they* have an option to create locally files. It's sheer bloodymindedness on this company's part to remove one of the most foundational, basic elements of software - that you can edit and copy your own files - and hide it behind a morass of intermittently based servers. With that as a caveat, if you're using this professionally, bear in mind that this is no longer the dependable, serious piece of software and the company will pull the rug out from under paying users without notice.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback. We understand that the move away from file-based storage isn't for everyone, especially if your workflow relies on managing files directly in Finder or creating your own file-based backups. With MindNode Next, documents are stored in CloudKit rather than iCloud Drive. This approach has a few advantages, such as keeping your documents available offline. If you prefer working with files, you can still drag documents from MindNode onto your Desktop or the Files app to create aliases that open the original document in MindNode. We know this change doesn't fit every workflow, however, we appreciate you sharing your perspective. If you rely on this feature you can also continue using MindNode Classic, which is still available on our website and receives regular updates.
True to the original mind mapping concept.
Nick DNH
I am 82 and have been into mind mapping since Tony Buzan developed the idea back in the 70s. Before the development of computer software, it was done with paper and coloured pencils. Having tried many different mind mapping apps , it is my view that Mindnode Next is as close to the original Tony Buzan model as it is possible to get using a computer.
Developer Response
Hi Nick, we're so happy to hear this! Thank you for appreciating our concept of mind mapping. We value it very much.
Looking for an alternative now …
a-one69
I’ve been using various mind mapping apps over the past 20 years. Settled on MindNode soon after it first appeared, and loved using it ever since. But it has changed. The latest version is too restrictive. Layout and spacing options too limited - I want more freedom to layout my mind maps as I want them. The AI brainstorming implementation is really useless. No option to manage files locally in the finder. More limited integration with other apps. It feels like the developer is taking it in the wrong direction for me. The app is still visually appealing, but I am going to test out alternatives that more closely align with how I want a mind map app to work. SimpleMind looks promising…
Developer Response
Sorry to hear that. I’ll make sure to share your feedback with the team. Also, did you know that you can continue using MindNode Classic if you prefer its feature set? You can re-download it anytime from our website.
