Update: More updates and still the same bug. 22 minutes into my first match after another update and my player gets injured. STILL UNABLE TO SWAP THE PLAYER. Starting to completely give up on this shambles now. Great game, which when first released was almost unplayable but persevered and to be fair a lot of issues have been fixed. However my biggest issue not only remains but has got worse. Before the last update if your player got injured and you used all your subs you could not continue the game. The game wanted you to replace the injured player and would not continue with only 10 men. This meant you had to close and restart the game and replay the match which was very annoying. Now after the updates this has not been solved but now if your player gets injured you can’t sub him off even if you have subs. The game lets you swap the player, but the confirm button is greyed out, so again the only way around this is to restart the game which is extremely annoying to do if you have an injury in a few games in a row. Please, please sort this issue out and make this game enjoyable again

Truly awful. Horrific. They have taken the best football management simulator and made it impossible to use. The tutorials inside the game are incomprehensible. It is so difficult just to pick a starting 11 and subs. They have lost or made invisible the feedback to players in matches, making substitutions in game is so convoluted. There may be additional detail in the game but it is incredibly hard to find and even harder to use. The usability of the previous version has been tossed in the bin and replaced with something which makes no sense. I am so angry. I have been an addict of this game since it’s earliest iterations and am loyal to it but I am questioning why I am paying a subscription just to play a game I cannot work out how to play which is taking away any joy. Whoever greenlit this version of the game needs their head examined. Did any of the testing work? Did anyone say it played well? I can’t imagine how they did! Don’t download this until they sort it out. It might take a couple of years based on how bad it is. I’m not the only one who is saying it is terrible, I’ve not found any positive feedback from the most important people (the users) online. I’ve seen a bunch of PR nonsense excuses trying to spin what has to be an embarrassment for Sports Interactive. Heads must roll. Give us our playable game back please or I will have to venture out and try one of the alternatives.

FM26 Touch is a significant step backwards. Been playing a various iterations of the game for 27 years. This could well be the end. Where do I begin? Option to load FM24 game is ok but it will not upload the tactics and the new ones on offer don’t fit the squad I’ve spent many hours building. May as well just write off all that time I Invested. Can’t see whole squad in one screen and have to scroll which is glitchy - makes selecting team really difficult. When looking at squad/selecting team, even the basic information is split across multiple views. In FM24 Touch the Selection Info gave you enough detail. It has been scaled back and if the average rating for season starts with a 6 it doesn’t fit in the screen. You have to navigate to other views to look at fatigue, can’t even find recent form. Takes too long to select a team. Game visuals are good but can’t angles make it really difficult to see the ball. Basically no benefit to playing in 3D. Option to zoom in view doesn’t work. Substitutions don’t work, you can’t see who is tired in game. I have played 3 games and have not been able to make any substitutions. Really annoying feature in game where no highlights are played the 2D version carries on at a rate so fast it adds nothing. No obvious way to switch it off. Transfer screen makes it really difficult to filter players. Really disappointed with this version. This is as much as I could take, so have switched off and it looks like the end of a 25 years of playing this game.

Genuinely heartbroken with this after waiting for such a long time. I’m using an iPhone 16 and playing through Apple Arcade - which I have solely for this game. The UI is clumsy, clunky and has clearly not been tested for my device. Anything at the base of the screen is unusable due to the Apple intelligence bar, the necessity to scroll up and down due to it not having been formatted to the screen size wouldn’t be so bad if the drop down option box didn’t pop up every time you move the screen, the scroll bar itself is glitchy and can take multiple attempts just to use. The intuitive nature of what made the game so unique seems to have been completely stripped away; drag and drop, press and hold, double tap to make quick tactical/positional changes etc. every task, no matter how basic, already feels like a Herculean effort. I have played every single iteration of this game since 2005 and this genuinely feels unrecognisable… the aesthetics look more like a cheap knockoff as opposed to what I’ve grown to love. I appreciate that now I no longer play on PC the game is going to be significantly more limited, however I’ve been doing so for a number of years and each version has always been a well balanced, honest attempt to produce the best product possible - sadly this falls significantly short of that. I really hope, at a minimum, that the UI issues are early teething problems and I can somehow learn to enjoy it, though in truth my gut tells me this is unlikely. Such a desperate shame.
