Single challenge bug
miaelalalalal
Hey I had 276 I think gems. I wanted to do a Legendary challenge so I start a single challenge, as usual I need to give 100 gems for it. But...It told me I don't have enough so it gave me options to buy. I went back chose single challenge again...it said I don't have enough agaaaaain...I go back I choose single challenge again...and it said I have to buy gems again cuz I don't have enough. When I clearly had...but when I go now to home screen I see I was charged those 2 times 100 gems for trying to start the challenge but never got to do it cuz it kept redirecting me to buy as I don't have....what now I lost my gems?? iOS help please
Horendeous update

The app was amazing back when I first started my journey a year ago. But then they have fundamentaly changed it ever since.First they completely rewampes the language I was learning to a point where I had to reset my course because it couldn’t correctly align my past progress to current and started giving me extremely difficult lessons (not to mention the answers are sometimes just wrong). Then they change the mistakes system to a battery system which I feel is directly targeting a person kike me with well over 90% accuracy. Then this week I have started getting 2-5 minute ads while before they lasted from 10-30 seconds to get more energy. In general I could before climb to the top of the leaderboard and do a lot of lessons a day without any feel of stopping even if I had to watch a few ads to replenish hearts. Now i can barely do 2 lessons that average 3 minutes in lenght after which I have to watch 4-5 2 minute ads. In coclusion, 6 minutes of learning lessons that are extremely flawed (I always report if something is wrong) and then 10 minutes of ads for things I will never buy no matter if the ad presented is a second or 5 minutes.
Out of balance.

Way too much emphasis on keeping up a streak and getting to the top of the leaderboard, and way too little emphasis on actually learning the language. There's no way to turn this feature off either. It makes you feel like you're learning a lot and doing well, when in reality you're just getting rewarded for repeating things you basically already know and the learning process is really slow. Losing a streak is so unmotivating. And the annoying ads of course. I've tried the paid version as well and it's not that much better. It just seems like the paid version is a normal app that's just as inefficient and the free version seems like there's a bug or something. And I'm only fully realising all this after having used this app for years. They're really good at tricking you into using their app and not very good at actually teaching you a language. To me the only way there is a point in using this app is with notifications turned off and as a "time-waster", instead of more pointless ways of spending time on the phone, like scrolling or playing games.
Our mascot owl, Duo, is trading in his usual diet of mice for bugs this week. Yup, we’re squashing those pesky bugs to make the experience better for all of you.
