    1. Swiping left on a file to reveal “More”, “Rename” and “Delete” options, a window pops up to confirm selection, but you can sometimes select a file which is “behind” the pop-up. This will open the file with the pop-up window still up and freeze the app.2. When entering text in a field with the onscreen keyboard, the “Previous”, “Next”, “Reset Field” and “Done” are blue in colour on a dark grey background located above the keyboard making it hard to read.3. Selecting “Reset Field” will make the keyboard hide and a pop-up window to confirm your choice. Why do I have to tap twice to make one decision? Also, the keyboard hiding every time I need to reset a field is very annoying and interrupts the workflow.

  • Very good if not excellent

I really like this application. It makes life so much easier. There are, however, some minor things that would just take this to the next level. In particular, when using the Apple Pencil, if I select the pen mode to make written annotations, I find that if I go to scroll with my finger, a mark with the pen will be made and it will not in fact scroll. For me to scroll properly, I first have to make a dot with the pen using my Apple Pencil, and then I am able to scroll with my finger. Another issue is that there is only one pen setting. That is, you can’t have a calligraphy mode, or pencil mode, or a texta mode or anything else like that.

  • Subscription popup that requires deletion of the app to remove

    DiscoDiva76

A subscription pop up has suddenly appeared every time I open the app, but the “not now” button doesn’t work, nor does the “x” in the top right corner, making it impossible to use the app. The pop up reappears if you try closing and reopening the app, so there is no way to get rid of the pop up and use the app (unless you click on the subscribe button, which interestingly does work 🙄)Editing to add that Adobe either no longer make the app available for free (though I can’t find this indicated anywhere), or the unremovable popup is a bug, as the only way to remove it is to delete the app & reinstall it. After a small amount of use the pop up once agains sticks on screen again. Please either be clear about now requiring paid subscription or remove the buggy pop up if basic use of the app is still available for free.

Hi there! Sorry to hear that again😢. These pop-ups are meant to show how upgrading can help you do more with the app and boost your productivity, but if you don’t want to upgrade, you can always skip them. To investigate the issue further, since you mentioned that even clicking the cross button doesn’t let you skip the pop-up, if it's happening repeatedly, then could you please share a short screen recording with our community of experts here: [adobe.ly/readermobilecommunity]? This will allow the team to take a closer look and assist you more effectively through a two-way conversation. We also understand that too many prompts can feel distracting. and have noted your feedback and will strive to improve this experience in future updates. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding. ^VK

  • Doesn’t do what it says on the tin

I received an Adobe Acrobat PDF file and could not open it using the built in reader on my iPhone 7. So I downloaded the Adobe PDF reader app, only to be informed that only a desktop version can open this PDF which was generated by Adobe software. Therefore the App fails to do what it is advertised to do, open and read Adobe PDFs. I’d like to remind Adobe that the whole point of the PDF is to have a “Portable Document Format”, and Adobe is falling behind on this lofty goal. Furthermore, I did not appreciate the requirement to link the App to a social profile, before I could use the App at all. The level of trust I had to provide was not earned by Adobe in this particular instance. Also please check the write ups on the review of your App. Some of them seem quite robotic, repetitive and irrelevant when providing a positive review ie: Keyword search “Westpac” and “20 years”. via the Australian Apple App Store.

  • pdf Document handler par excellence

Adobe Acrobat is the bees knees in producing and managing pdf documents. It is the de-facto standard in storing a host of information in a common access environment. I believe its access is enshrined in law with perpetual right of access to pdf formatted documents by the US Government. The sheer storage capacity of Acrobat is outstanding, along with its search capacity. Tobacco companies thwarted successive attempts at litigation by over loading defendants with tonnes of documents close to trial. The solution: turn all those pages into pdf documents and the defendant team had no trouble knocking the lies that are spread by tobacco companies out the door. Well done!

  • No longer sight impaired friendly

    Lollycat345

Now, you cannot Zoom in to read a passage unless it is in continuous mode which also provides a block of actions and AI icon that blocks/covers text. In reading mode, you cannot Zoom in , the size of the text is pre determined by someone who clearly has good vision and cares not for sight impaired people who wish to also not have annoying blocks of actions and the AI not actioned in preferences, covering the text they are trying to read. And do not accidentally bump a block of text or the app will get all excited and push the (unchecked in preferences) AI function as comments take up half the page. What is the point of unchecking the AI function in preferences if it remains visible, covering texts and has a moment of irrational excitement at the slightest accidental provocation. Hate the app and what it has become.
