Opened in October 2011, Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is one of the first major video game studios based in the UAE capital and is focusing on developing and bringing to market successful mobile games for a worldwide audience. The studio counts more than 60 talented team members and plans to grow to 100 within the next 3-5 years. Since 2014, Ubisoft Abu Dhabi successfully released two hidden-object / investigation free-to-play mobile titles: CSI: Hidden Crimes™ and NCIS: Hidden Crimes™, both based on the worldwide known TV shows of the same name. With the acquisition in February 2017 of the massive multiplayer free-to-play game Growtopia, the studio works closely with Growtopia’s creators to ramp up steadily on taking over the title’s live operations. The team keeps focusing its efforts on creating further content for its live games and strengthening its player’s engagement in addition to work on other unannounced projects.

August was a month that truly highlighted the spirit of our community at Abu Dhabi Gaming. We kept the energy going with our Summer Camp workshops, where children continued to dive into coding, game development, and creative tech discovering new skills and passions along the way. Our League of Legends Community Cup was another major highlight, bringing together almost 300 players and fans for an unforgettable competition that showed just how vibrant our local gaming scene has become. Beyond the UAE, our team headed to Cologne for Gamescom, one of the world’s biggest gaming events, where we connected with industry leaders and explored how the future of gaming can continue to grow in the region. Back home, we celebrated Emirati Women’s Day with a women’s-only event at Pixoul, combining gaming zones, local vendors, and panel conversations designed to spark meaningful dialogue and connection. And the excitement doesn’t stop there our online Community Cup is still running until the end of the year, giving gamers more chances to connect, compete, and be part of the growing Abu Dhabi Gaming ecosystem. كان أغسطس شهرًا أبرز روح المجتمع في أبوظبي للألعاب والرياضات الإلكترونية. استمرت الأجواء الحماسية مع ورشات المخيم الصيفي، حيث تعمّق الأطفال في عالم البرمجة وتطوير الألعاب والإبداع التقني، مكتشفين مهارات جديدة وشغفًا متجددًا. كما كانت بطولة كأس المجتمع للعبة League of Legends من أبرز فعاليات الشهر، إذ جمعت ما يقارب 300 لاعب ومشجع في منافسة لا تُنسى عكست حيوية مشهد الألعاب لدينا. وخارج الدولة، شارك فريقنا في معرض Gamescom بمدينة كولون، أحد أكبر معارض الألعاب في العالم، حيث التقينا بقادة الصناعة واستكشفنا فرص نمو مستقبل منظومة الألعاب في المنطقة. أما في أبوظبي، فقد احتفلنا بـ يوم المرأة الإماراتية من خلال فعالية خاصة بالسيدات في بيكسول، شملت مناطق ألعاب، متاجر محلية، وحوارات ملهمة لتعزيز التواصل والتعاون. ولا يتوقف الحماس هنا، إذ تستمر بطولة كأس المجتمع عبر الإنترنت حتى نهاية العام، لتمنح اللاعبين المزيد من الفرص للتواصل والتنافس ضمن منظومة أبوظبي للألعاب والرياضات الإلكترونية.
