Abu Dhabi Airports has increased cold storage operational capacity at Al Ain International Airport (AAN), supporting the growing demand for temperature-controlled cargo services. This expanded capacity further enhances the airport’s ability to handle and store sensitive shipments such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, and other temperature-sensitive goods, enabling efficient cargo operations and contributing to the resilience and continuity of regional and global supply chains. Abu Dhabi Airports announces that cargo operations at Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Al Ain International Airport (AAN) are fully operational, with both airports ready to accommodate and schedule cargo flights. Airlines and cargo operators seeking to arrange cargo flights are invited to submit their applications to the following email: trafficofficer@adairports.ae تعلن مطارات أبوظبي أن عمليات الشحن الجوي في مطار زايد الدولي ومطار العين الدولي تعمل بكامل طاقتها التشغيلية، حيث أصبح المطاران جاهزين لاستقبال وجدولة رحلات الشحن الجوي. وندعو شركات الطيران والجهات المشغلة الراغبة في تقديم رحلات الشحن إلى إرسال طلباتهم عبر البريد الإلكتروني: trafficofficer@adairports.ae

Authorities in Abu Dhabi are responding to an incident resulting from the interception of a drone that targeted Zayed International Airport. The interception led to falling debris, which resulted in one fatality of an Asian national and seven injuries. The public is urged to avoid circulating rumours and to rely only on official sources. Updates will be provided. تتعامل الجهات المختصة في أبوظبي مع حادثة نتيجة اعتراض طائرة مسيرة استهدفت مطار زايد الدولي حيث أسفرت عملية الاعتراض عن سقوط شظايا نجم عنها حالة وفاة واحدة من الجنسية الآسيوية و7 إصابات، وتهيب بالجمهور عدم تداول الشائعات والبيانات المغلوطة واستقاء المعلومات من المصادر الرسمية فقط، مؤكدة أنه سيتم نشر المستجدات فور ورودها.

Abu Dhabi Airports welcomed a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by the country’s General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior. The visit marked the launch of a one-stop travel project being piloted to facilitate air travel between Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Bahrain International Airport (BAH).   Abu Dhabi Airports’ Acting CEO, Ahmed Al Shamisi was accompanied by a delegation from the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), which included HE Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP; HE Mohammed Ahmed Al Kuwaity, Acting Director General of Ports; and HE Dr Hamad Al Mashghouni, Acting Executive Director of the Air Ports Affairs Sector. The delegation from Bahrain included HE Engineer Abdullah Saleh Al Jarboa, Director General of Office of the Secretary General; HE Sultan Mohammed Al Balawi, Head of Protocol; and HE Fahad Mohammed Al Mutairi, Media Advisor to the Secretary General.   The one- stop travel project enables citizens of both the UAE and Bahrain to complete entry procedures in advance at departure airports through an integrated system that relies on digital connectivity and biometric verification. By reducing wait times and enhancing the travel experience, the system highlights an advanced level of integration in regional travel infrastructure and supports efforts to develop a smart transportation system that meets travellers’ expectations and strengthens tourism and trade ties. استقبلت مطارات أبوظبي وفداً رسمياً رفيع المستوى من مملكة البحرين الشقيقة، ممثلاً بالإدارة العامة لشؤون الجنسية والجوازات والإقامة بوزارة الداخلية، وذلك بمناسبة تدشين مشروع "النقطة الواحدة" لتسهيل حركة المسافرين جواً بين البلدين، والذي يتم تطبيقه في كل من مطار زايد الدولي ومطار البحرين الدولي كمرحلة أولى. واستقبل أحمد الشامسي، الرئيس التنفيذي بالانابة لمطارات أبوظبي، كلاً من سعادة المهندس عبد الله صالح الجربوع، مدير عام الإدارة العامة لمكتب الأمين العام، وسعادة الأستاذ سلطان محمد البلوي، رئيس المراسم، وسعادة الأستاذ فهد محمد المطيري، المستشار الإعلامي للأمين العام. كما رافق وفد مملكة البحرين وفدٌ من الهيئة الاتحادية للهوية والجنسية والجمارك وأمن المنافذ في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، بحضور سعادة اللواء سهيل سعيد الخييلي، مدير عام الهيئة، وسعادة محمد أحمد الكويتي، مدير عام المنافذ بالإنابة، وسعادة الدكتور حمد المشغوني، المدير التنفيذي للمنافذ الجوية بالإنابة. وتسهم هذه المبادرة في تمكين مواطني البلدين من إنهاء إجراأت السفر مسبقاً من مطارات المغادرة، عبر منظومة رقمية متكاملة تعتمد على الربط الإلكتروني والتحقق البيومتري، بما يختصر زمن الانتظار ويعزز سلاسة تجربة السفر. كما يعكس المشروع مستوى متقدماً من التكامل الإقليمي في البنية التحتية للسفر، ويدعم جهود تطوير منظومة تنقّل ذكية تواكب تطلعات المسافرين، وتعزز الربط السياحي والتجاري بين البلدين.
