The Entrenched Division Warbond in Helldivers 2 brings a bit of trench warfare into the Galactic War through rustic uniforms, antique weapon designs, and actual, functioning shovels to dig said trenches with. Anyone who's a fan of this WW1 aesthetic has a lot to be excited about with this Helldivers 2 Warbond, and if you're the type who's mainly concerned about practical performance, you'll be glad to know that nearly every bit of kit in this package is well worth the Super Credits.
Helldivers 2: All Warbonds, Ranked
Here are all of the Warbonds in Helldivers 2, ranked according to practicality to help players figure out which ones to get first.
Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Warbond Contents
As one of the regular Premium Warbonds in HD2 (like Siege Breakers), Entrenched Division costs 1,000 Super Credits to unlock, and players will need several hundred Medals to unlock every item in it.

Stoker SMG
- Damage: 130
- Capacity: 45
- Recoil: 9
- Fire Rate: 420
The Stoker works much like the Defender; it's a slow-firing SMG that can be wielded with one hand. What makes this different is the fact that it has an underbarrel flamethrower. If you've used any of the other flamers in Helldivers 2, you'll know that fire damage can be used against heavy units like Chargers, Hulks, and Bile Titans. The Stoker's SMG mode is nothing to scoff at, but the flamethrower elevates this weapon as one of the more versatile options in its category.
Sapper Medium Armor
The Sapper Armor comes with the Concussive Padding, Grenadier perk, which provides 50% explosive damage resistance and increases your throwables inventory by 2. This perk is excellent for fighting Automatons, as explosive damage is much more common in the Bot Front compared to the others.
Entrenchment Tool (Shovel)
- Damage: 165
- Attack Speed: 1
- Stamina Drain: 5
The Entrenchment Tool does exactly what its name suggests — it's a foldable shovel for your sidearm slot that can be used to dig holes in the ground. Again, this is much more useful against the Automatons since the majority of their units use ranged attacks. If you ever find yourself on the receiving end of countless machine guns, just dig a hole to avoid getting hit.

Commandant Light Armor
Unlike other Helldivers 2 Warbonds, the armor sets in Entrenched Division actually have different passives. The Commandant Light armor comes equipped with the Concussive Padding, Hazmat perk. Like the one from the previous page, this also provides 50% explosive damage resistance, though it comes with two additional benefits:
- Provides 25% resistance to gas and its effects.
- Reduces sidearm recoil by 30%.
Giga Grenade
- Damage: 2000
- Penetration: 5
- Outer Radius: 12
Giga Grenades are a mix between Thermite Grenades and Dynamite. These explode on impact, dealing massive damage capable of one-shotting Chargers, Bile Titans, and Automaton tanks. The blast radius on Giga Grenade explosions rivals that of Dynamite bundles, making them effective against groups of smaller enemies as well. However, due to this large explosion radius, Giga Grenades are much riskier to use. Also, players can only carry two of these without the help of armor perks.

Gas Mortar Sentry
The Gas Mortar Sentry is exactly what you'd expect from a sentry that fires gas shells. It's great for causing widespread confusion, and since it doesn't use any sort of explosive payload, there is a smaller friendly fire risk (teammates will still get damaged by the gas, though).

Cremator
All eyes were on the Cremator when the Entrenched Division trailer dropped. This is a backpack-fed support weapon like the Maxigun and BFGL, which means it can be fired continuously without reloading for as long as its fuel tanks have juice in them. Players were worried about the Cremator's performance, but we're happy to report that this weapon is actually pretty good.
The Cremator has a number of differences over the regular flamethrower:
-
Slightly longer range (~26 meters vs. ~22 meters)
- You'll start seeing hitmarkers for the Cremator and Flamethrower at around these ranges
-
Slightly higher impact damage (3 vs. 2)
- Cremator kills and ignites faster
-
Slightly better status application
- Cremator has a stronger slowing effect and applies Confusion more quickly
-
Less total ammo
- Cremator has 500 units of fuel per backpack vs 750 for the Flamethrower (divided over 5 canisters).
The balance patch that came together with Entrenched Division buffed all flame weapons. Enemies who are taking direct flamethrower damage will be slowed, and they will eventually become Confused, where they will start attacking anything nearby.
Despite having two nozzles, the Cremator's fuel usage rate is roughly the same as the Flamethrower (150 fuel in 19.5 seconds). However, due to dealing 1 more damage, the Cremator ends up being superior in terms of DPS.
P-69 Veto
- Damage: 105
- Capacity: 12
- Recoil: 30
- Fire Rate: 750
- Rounds Reload
- Medium Armor Penetrating
The Veto is a med-pen sidearm, and it's one of the few rocket-assisted pistols in the game (alongside the P-92 Warrant). This means that the Veto ignores ranged damage fall-off and experiences very little bullet drop, making it effective against targets that are farther away from the player.
On the surface, the Veto is simply fine. It complements short-ranged weapons like the Stoker nicely, serving as an alternative to the likes of the Verdict, the Peacemaker, and the Redeemer. It won't be as strong as a close-ranged backup weapon, though, as its small magazine size, long reload time, and lower damage output relative to the previously-mentioned sidearms hamper its effectiveness in close combat.
Entrenched Division Superstore Items
This Warbond also has an extension in the Superstore in the form of a heavy armor set and a primary weapon. These are also purchased with Super Credits.
The Sweeper
- Damage: 504
- Capacity: 7
- Recoil: 76
- Fire Rate: 150
- Medium Armor Penetrating
- Bayonet
This is a shotgun capable of being slam-fired when you hold down the trigger, essentially turning into a fully-automatic weapon. It also comes with a bayonet, which is par for the course for a WW1-themed weapon.
The Sweeper is ironically the best part of Entrenched Division, despite not being an actual part of the main catalog. It's great against anything that can be damaged with med-pen, and since its reload animation can be cancelled, players won't really need to worry about any serious downtime even with the gun's small magazine capacity. However, since it only has 70 shells total, you'll run out of ammo with this thing pretty quickly.
CPR-80 Bulwark
This heavy armor set is equipped with the Concussive Padding, Reinforced perk, which has the following effects:
- Provides 50% explosive damage resistance
- Provides a higher armor rating
When paired with certain Boosters, the Bulwark set can let players walk away from even direct grenade hits from teammates. It provides an excellent boost to your survivability, even if it can feel a bit redundant or excessive considering the other blast-resistant armor sets in the game.
