The latest Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 seemingly leans into World War 1 trench warfare-style with weapons and cosmetics seemingly pulled from that era. Warbonds have covered a wide array of styles over the past two years, giving Helldivers 2 players plenty of ways to outfit their character both with armor sets, stratagems, weapons, and other personalization methods.

After a rough patch in 2025 due to an increase in technical issues, Arrowhead Game Studios has managed to put things right after focusing on addressing the core issues through a number of updates. Since that point, it's been full steam head, with new Warbonds releasing just about every month. In addition, new in-game events, such as Helldivers 2 focusing on retaking Cyberstan, have helped to keep many players invested with new enemies and mechanics such as the global reinforcement limit, pushing players to stay in the fight for as long as possible or risk losing the battle. As players wait for the next big update, Arrowhead has confirmed the next major Warbond.

Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Launch Date

  • March 17, 2026

The latest Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 was revealed to be Entrenched Division, seemingly taking inspiration from the trench warfare days of World War 1. In fact, the trailer for Entrenched Division doubles down on that style by looking like an old war documentary, leading off with the crackling sounds and film grain before transitioning into the normal high definition visuals. It's definitely a change of pace from previous Helldivers 2 Warbonds, which recently included explosive weapons as well as gear for being incredibly stealthy. Entrenched Division opts to take players back in time, albeit with a sci-fi style twist instead.

First off, players have two new armor sets to dive with, including the Medium armor set, the CPG-48 Sapper, which adds a metallic-style helmet, goggles, and facemask, along with what appears to be a large trench digging spade. Alternatively, there's the light armor set known as Commandant, mixing armor pieces with a commander-style jacket and hat.

In terms of new weapons, the SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker is a primary that rapid fires bullets, but hides a unique element. Its secondary is actually a portable flamethrower, giving players new ways to destroy enemies and not having to first purchase the Freedom's Flame Warbond or equip Helldivers 2's FLAM-40 Stratagem before dropping into a mission. The Warbond also adds the P-69 Veto secondary pistol, made to look similar to the Mauser C96. For players who like to get up close to the enemy, there's also the CQC-73 Entrenchment Tool to smack enemies with.

In addition, the Warbond features more personalization options like the Diplomatic Handshake, a cooperative emote for 2 players. New patterns for the Pelican, drop pod, recon vehicle, and Exosuit are also included. The Giga grenade is a comically large throwable that has a large explosion radius, also good for taking out vehicles based on the trailer footage. Finally, there are two new stratagem to unlock as well, like the A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry, an automatic firing sentry that launches gas canisters in a large area. For players who want a little more firepower, there's the B/FLAM-80 Cremator, a massive flamethrower weapon that comes with a massive fuel tank for continued fire.

In addition to new content, Helldivers 2 is planning a highly anticipated update on March 17. As the PC-version continued to balloon in size, Arrowhead Game Studios began testing a beta client late in 2025 that aimed to reduce the file size. With the beta testing seemingly complete, Arrowhead is now preparing to make the update available for all players, moving from the "legacy" version which clocked in at around 154 GB to a much slimmer version at only 23 GB.
