Early on in Graveyard Keeper, players will meet Horadric, the innkeeper at the Dead Horse. At first, it seems like selling flesh to him could be an easy way to make some money. But the moment you try, he shuts it down and asks for a Meat Stamp.
Getting the stamp through Royal Services is expensive, which is not ideal when you are just starting out. Luckily, Horadric gives you another option. It leads you to Snake, a shady character who deals in things best left unquestioned. However, players will need to make some progress before they can meet him.

How to Find Snake in Graveyard Keeper
Snake can be found in the cellar beneath your Sweet Home. You can access it early on, but actually reaching him takes a bit of work. The first time you enter the cellar, you will see a short scene where Snake is trying to get through a locked gate that leads deeper into the dungeon.
You cannot talk to him yet, though, because the path is blocked. To reach him, you will need to clear those blockages first. Here’s what keepers will need:
- 10x Wood Wedges
- 2x Wood Planks
- 4x Iron Parts
Once you have the materials, clear the blockage, and you will finally come face to face with Snake. Your first interaction with him is not very welcoming, as Snake is hostile and tells you to stay out of his business.
You only get the option to threaten him, which doesn't really get you anywhere. To talk to Snake, you will need five Faith.
You can get Faith by holding sermons at the church. Once you have enough, come back and speak to him again. This time, he opens up a bit. Snake will then task you with a long questline that involves finding a key to the dungeon gate.
What if Snake Doesn’t Show Up in Graveyard Keeper?
If you can’t find Snake, it’s likely just a timing issue. Before you open the dungeon gate, Snake only appears at night in the cellar. So if you go looking for him during the day, he simply will not be there. Players should try visiting the cellar at night instead.
Once you progress through his quest and open the gate, his schedule changes. After that, he only appears on Envy day (the one with the green icon). This is where a lot of players get confused.
If Snake is missing, you should visit at night early on, or on the correct day later, and you should find him. Keep completing his quests, and you will eventually unlock the meat stamp for the flesh you get by autopsies.
