Fans have long wished for a Game of Thrones movie, and now their dreams are coming true.

15 Years Of The Game of Thrones Universe Captured In 55 Seconds

The Reign of Thrones trailer opens with the iconic "When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die," voice over from Lena Headey’s Cersei Lannister, set against glimpses of key moments: Jon Snow facing the Bolton cavalry charge at the beginning of Battle of the Bastards, followed Cersei and King Viserys Targaryen seated on the Iron Throne, Walder Rivers slitting the throat of Catelyn Stark at the Red Wedding, and Ser Duncan the Tall before his infamous Trial of Seven.

Daemon Targaryen is seen gripping his niece-wife, Rhaenyra Targaryen, as he declares, “Dreams didn’t make us kings, dragons did,” a pointed rejection of Aegon’s dream (A Song of Ice and Fire) the Targaryen Prophecy tied to the fate of Westeros. The trailer then flashes the words, “Celebrate 15 Years of Westeros” as Drogon soars overhead the Dothraki at the Battle of the Goldroad.

The words “15 Years of Legacy” also flash onscreen as Daenerys Targaryen declares, “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms…” This is followed by Jaime staring in horror at the aftermath of the Goldroad battle, and Daemon winning over the Riverlords at Harrenhal. “15 Years of Honor,” the trailer continues, as Ser Duncan prepares to face Aerion the Monstrous as his complement in the Trial of Seven. The words "mercy" and "vengeance" also flash across the screen, intercut with other pivotal moments from the show, before the focus shifts to the Sea Snake:

History does not remember blood. It remembers names.

“And the saga continues,” the trailer declares, spotlighting the Game of Thrones franchise’s ongoing shows, House of the Dragon and its latest, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

15 years on, Game of Thrones remains one of HBO’s most celebrated shows, with the network continuing to expand the World of Westeros. House of the Dragon Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on HBO and Max in June 2026, following a two-year gap.
