In Forza Horizon 6, street races and touge represent the most challenging events in Japan, requiring both great tunes for your cars and strong driving skills. Choosing the best cars for these events is mostly a matter of personal driving style, as having absolute control over your ride when tackling tricky corners is a priority.
Some FH6 vehicles tend to perform better than others overall and require little experience or practice to win street races or touge. This guide covers general recommendations and tips for touge and street racing disciplines in Forza Horizon 6, alongside the best cars you can use to make things more manageable.

Street Racing and Touge in Forza Horizon 6, Explained
Street races and touge are expert-level road-racing sub-categories, aimed at testing your skills as a driver. While traditional road races take place on dedicated racetracks with closed roads and racing fences to guide you, street races and touge are held on unrestricted public roads with incoming traffic and no fences.
The key difference between street races and touge is that the latter is a head-to-head duel between just two drivers, which adds more personal tension.
Unlike other racing events that unlock as you earn Festival Wristbands, street races and touge aren’t unlockable events and must be found in the open world by exploration. Once found, they will stay available for the rest of the game.
- There are 15 street racing events and 5 togue races (so far).
There are no dedicated unlockable ‘grand finales’ for these racing series — no Colossus or Goliath equivalents. Hopefully, more events will be added via the game’s evolving world and new seasonal playlists!
It’s currently the winter season in Forza Horizon 6, which is easily the least suitable time for tackling street races and touge events, as icy roads add an extra challenge by lowering grip. These races will be easier to tackle during dry season, like summer.
How to Choose the Best Street Racing and Touge Cars in Forza Horizon 6
For street races and touge, you’ll want cars that combine rapid acceleration, great handling, and high downforce to get around tight corners quickly. Top speed matters much less here, since you’ll rarely find long straight stretches to take advantage of it.
WTAC cars (World Time Attack Challenge) can be great picks, although the majority of them are exclusive to the Time Attack Car Pack DLC. Forza Edition vehicles are another category to consider, as most perform really well.
As for car classes in street racing, you’re free to choose whichever class you prefer for any event, which is definitely a plus. For the best experience that combines the excitement of high-speed night driving with controllable handling, I recommend sticking to A or S1 class in street races. Anything below A often feels too slow, while controlling roaring S2 and R vehicles usually requires great skill.
For touge in FH6, some restrictions apply, as there are events for B, A, S1, and even S2 classes that you’ll need to complete.
When it comes to choosing between RWD, AWD, and FWD, I’m definitely a fan of AWD grip tunes. That said, many players prefer RWD setups with a strong drift-to-grip balance, while some even say FWD works surprisingly well for them in A class. Either way, you’ll need to experiment to find what suits your handling style best.
Below are some of the best cars in Forza Horizon 6 for both street races and touge events in Japan so far (not ranked), based on my personal experience. For most of these, I used stock tunes or just slight adjustments via custom/cosmetics upgrades, but they are flexible enough to be used across a variety of classes.
