The Earth Sprite (in its classic form) sits on top of the mountain within your Sprite Garden, and you can observe it, but you can't feed it anything like you used to be able to do in Chapter 6 before the bugs ate them all. However, just because this rooted Earth Sprite remains still doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose, and you'll find more than just nostalgia when you interact with it!

Sprite Garden's Earth Sprite, Explained

The Earth Sprite originates from Chapter 6 Season 1, and it used to be found randomly around the Battle Royale map, and you could feed it weapons in exchange for random rarity weapons. Since there's no use for loot in the Sprite Garden, the Earth Sprite can't do that, but it can help you fast travel!

You can interact with the Earth Sprite to enter a fast travel tunnel in the sky that will take you to the other Sprite Gardens from the three other players in the lobby, or back to the center island. It's not exactly the most useful function, but Epic Games was cryptic about the Earth Sprite's new ability.

We expect the Earth Sprite to serve a greater function in the coming weeks, as Epic Games does have a few more updates planned for this experience, so it will be interesting to see what the Earth Sprite will be used for later. Could it be used for trading, or even gambling your old Sprites? We'll find out soon!
