FOllowing the most recent content update for Grounded 2, Obsidian Entertainment releases a brand-new Year 2 content roadmap, giving fans an idea of what to expect and when for the Early Access title. Originally launching into Early Access over a year ago on July 29, 2025, Grounded 2 continues to receive constant updates and new content, further fleshing out the Honey, I Shrunk The Kids-inspired adventure survival game.

During a recent interview with Jason Schreier, Todd Howard revealed that Obsidian Entertainment's mysterious Fallout project is happening because the "timing is right," but confessed that he couldn't reveal why the timing was so ideal because "that would be spoiler-ish." Obsidian's only Fallout game so far has been New Vegas, and since it's one of the most popular in the series, fans are eager to see how the developer approaches a new story within the post-apocalyptic universe. Since Bethesda and Obsidian have agreed now is the right time to collaborate again, it has me suspicious that this game is far more important than it's being let on.

Fallout fans got a lot of good news recently after Bethesda confirmed that a Fallout 3 and New Vegas remaster are in the works, and they need to be released as a bundle if Bethesda wants to make an even bigger splash. Not only that, but Bethesda also revealed that pre-production on Fallout 5 has begun, and Obsidian Entertainment has been tasked with creating a new Fallout spin-off. There are a lot of exciting projects for Fallout fans to look forward to now, and the Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters are more than likely going to be the games that debut first.

As rumors swirl around Xbox's future, the latest news (or leak) is that Microsoft has tapped developer Obsidian Entertainment to carry on the Falloutseries. While this is exciting for many reasons, not the least of which is Obsidian's potential return to its Fallout: New Vegassetting, it's devastating news for fans of Obsidian's other IPs; specifically, Avowed and Pillars of Eternity. Anyone out there who was looking forward to Avowed 2 or another PoE spin-off may have to put those dreams on hold for now.
