Formerly known as miHoYo, HoYoverse is a Chinese developer responsible for immensely popular games like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and the Honkai series. While I personally have never fallen in love with any of HoYoverse's previous works, Nodusfall certainly grabbed my attention, likely due to my undying affinity for all things FromSoftware and the major Elden Ring vibes that its reveal trailer gave off.

Modern Warfare 4 is Already the Best Call of Duty in Years

Dalton Cooper

Games

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

Call of Duty

Activision

Infinity Ward

PC

PlayStation 5

Xbox Series X

Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo

PlayStation

Xbox

I knew the route I would need to take to advance the story further and, ultimately, be safe from the toxic air on the post-nuclear surface, but I didn't want to take it. All I wanted was to keep poking around for more crafting and survival materials, more puzzles to solve, more weapon blueprints, and more "frozen stories" (as the series has long called its take on environmental storytelling), because if there is one thing I've learned as a longtime Metro fan, it's that patience and exhaustiveness pay off. Because of that philosophy, I knew beforehand that I would stubbornly push myself to the very edge in Metro 2039, until I had absolutely no choice but to move on.

Gears of War: E-Day Campaign Hands-On Preview

Dalton Cooper

Games

Gears of War

Gears of War: E-Day

The Coalition

PC

Xbox Series X

Xbox

I spent some time with the season's first phase, Pacific Front, at a recent hands-on preview event, and one thing became clear almost immediately: Tsuru Reef, the map anchoring the season’s return to the water, is gigantic. I’d wager that when Battlefield 6 Season 4 launches on July 21, it’ll be the best, most feature-complete version of the game to date, and while the game probably should have been like this closer to launch, fans won’t complain.
