Pokemon games have come a long way over the last 30 years, and it's exciting to see how Pokemon Winds and Waves kick things off for the next era of the series when Gen 10 is released. Not much is currently known about Gen 10, but the latest leaks point to Pokemon Winds and Waves releasing in late 2027. This means that fans will have some replaying or catching up to do in the meantime, with Gen 9 lasting five years total. It's not necessarily a bad thing to have all this time, as fans can spend it completing the Pokedex in as many games as possible, which will inevitably help when Pokemon Home and Gen 10 become compatible.

It already sounds like the studio is trying to make Modern Warfare 4 feel bigger, broader, and more varied than what the series has seen in years, but there may be more going on beneath the surface than scale alone.

One of the reasons the inevitable shutdown of Destiny 2 is such a big deal is because once live-service support for it concludes, it will usher in an era unlike any we've seen in gaming for over a decade. Yes, Destiny 2 will technically still be playable for the foreseeable future, but this will be the first time in over 13 years that fans haven't had something Destiny-oriented to look forward to. With reports that Destiny 3 is not, nor has it ever been, in the works, this means everything that exists within the world of Destiny is dying with the Destiny 2's final update in June.

I want to address the elephant in the room right away: Destiny 2 dying is awful, and I absolutely hate it, even if I stopped playing after Heresy. Now, the other elephant: no, it's not Marathon's fault that Destiny 2 is getting its final update in June or that Destiny 3 is not in development. Ever since Bungie announced that active, live-service support for Destiny 2 is ending, I've been feeling this profound sense of sadness for all it could have been and wasn't. For all I feel I'm losing, for feeling better after letting it go before The Edge of Fate, and for all the hate that Marathon is getting online.

I honestly can’t believe it. After learning that Bungie will officially be ending its ongoing development of Destiny 2 with one final update on June 9, 2026, I’m not sure how to feel about it. I knew the day would eventually come, especially in light of how rough its last couple of years have been, but knowing that hasn’t made the news any more bearable. I’m still in denial, my mouth agape in disbelief, that the game I once called home will now be abandoned by its builders, as it keeps its doors unlocked but leaves all the furniture inside subject to dust and natural decay. I’ll certainly revisit it one last time, but saying goodbye to Destiny 2 will still be the hardest thing I'll ever do in gaming.

Supermassive Games' cosmic horror story is the first entry in the anthology's long-awaited Season 2, and the developer is clearly trying something different this time around. On the one hand, some of these new features can be seen as much-needed improvements. However, it also sometimes makes Directive 8020 feel far removed from the anthology series that it's trying to keep alive.

I was already familiar with the Rockstar Games formula before starting my GTA marathon, since I had already played and loved the Red Dead Redemption games. Going into this marathon, I was expecting a similar experience, just replacing the Wild West with modern parodies of the US.
