Toxic Soot Flowers are fairly common around the Toxic Valley region in Fallout 76. You can find these flowers all over this region, though there's a higher concentration of them to the north, in the vicinity of the Crater as well as the Toxic Dried Lakebed and Grafton. Toxic Soot Flowers appear as white flowers sprouting out of seemingly-dead bushes, making them somewhat hard to spot considering the Toxic Valley region's appearance, but once you figure out where Toxic Soot Flowers spawn in Fallout 76, finding them should eventually feel like second nature.

As mentioned earlier, the best place to find Toxic Soot Flowers is the northern part of the Toxic Valley region, specifically near Grafton, the Crater, and the Toxic Dried Lakebed. Go to any of these locations, and spare a minute or two to run around while checking the dead shrubbery. Pay close attention to the shrubs, as the ash-colored Toxic Soot Flowers can easily blend in with the background.

Toxic Valley is just northeast of Vault 76. Some of Fallout 76's questlines will eventually take you here.

Whenever I go out to grab some Toxic Soot Flowers in Fallout 76, I start by fast-traveling to Grafton Station and picking up the flowers to the south. My next stop is the dried lake to the northeast — I usually walk over the entire area marked in the image above in a clockwise direction, picking up all the flowers and other materials I find along the way. The 96 marker on the map is a good place to start.

If you want to just get a few Toxic Soot Flowers, just go to Grafton Station, then head straight south. Check out the area south of Grafton itself for a few more flowers that should be fairly easy to find.

Toxic Soot Flowers are used for making consumable items in Fallout 76, with the most notable one being Psycho, though you'll first have to learn the recipe for this elsewhere before you can start making it. The flowers can also be used for the Toxic Valley variant for Disease Cure, which uses Toxic Soot Flowers instead of regular Soot Flowers.

You can also use Toxic Soot Flowers in Fallout 76 as food, if you're desperate enough. They can be cooked into Soot Flower Herb Paste. They'll restore 15% Food and 8% Water, and they'll heal you for a tiny amount of HP too. You can end up with dozens of Toxic Soot Flowers during a single rotation around Grafton and the Toxic Dried Lakebed, so you'll have more than enough ingredients to cook some Soot Flower Herb Pastes with.

The recipe for the Toxic Valley variant for Disease Cure can be randomly found in containers scattered throughout Toxic Valley. Meanwhile, the recipe for Psycho can be obtained as a reward from some quests, or bought directly from random vendors.
