Talisman of Kejaar Kerrath is a necklace in EverQuest Legends that grants passive HP, Mana, and Endurance regeneration. It's earned through a quest on Kerra Isle, which you can repeatedly complete in order to improve the necklace's effects. If you're KoS when trying to get the Kerran necklace in EverQuest Legends, you'll need to use the Enchanter's Illusion: Human spell or the Rogue's Sneak ability.
How to Get to Kerra Isle
The easiest way to reach Kerra Isle is to pass through Erudin City. Here's a path you can follow:
- Hail the Translocator on the dock on the west side of South Qeynos and travel to Erud's Crossing. If it's easier for you to reach Freeport, visit the Translocator on the dock on the east side of East Freeport, have them send you to Qeynos, and then go to Erud's Crossing.
- Hail the Translocator on the dock at Erud's Crossing and travel to Erudin.
- Pass through the Erudin City and exit through the south end to enter Toxxulia Forest.
- Swim through the water on the west side of the area to reach the entrance to Kerra Ridge.
Kerran Necklace Quest Giver Location
Once you reach Kerra Isle, head into the village in the northwest corner and enter the building on the north side, which has two Kerran Pazdars stationed in front. Now go downstairs and to the left side of the building to find The Kerran Sha'rr. Hail this NPC and select "explorrre the island" to start the quest that awards the Talisman of Kejaar Kerrath, the Kerran necklace.
You must say explorrre the island before you start trying to turn in the quest items.
What to Do if You're KoS
If you're an evil race, you'll need to switch to Enchanter and use the class's Level 4 Illusion: Human spell to get past the Kerran, as you'll be KoS. If that doesn't work, it's likely due to your selected deity, and you should try Enchanter’s Invisibility spell or Rogue's Sneak. Fortunately, you'll only need to deal with this issue for a handful of turn-ins, as you'll gain faction with the Kerrans as you complete the quest.
Completing Kerran Necklace Quest
You need two items to complete the quest and receive the Kerran necklace: a Desecrated Kejaar Totem and the Heretic Insurrection Orders. Both of these items are looted from Kerran on the island on the south side of the zone, and they respawn every four minutes:
- Desecrated Kejaar Totems are dropped by Kerran 'Amirs. There are two on the north side of the island.
- Heretic Insurrection Orders are dropped by Kerran Tiger Spahi. One spawns on the circular platform in the southwest corner of the island.
Many players are interested in claiming and leveling up the Kerran necklace, which means that the Kerran 'Amirs and Kerran Tiger Spahi are often camped. You can combat this issue by picking a difficulty (red button in the bottom-right corner) with 0 players or creating a personal instance. See our How to Create Instance guide for more details on that process.
Once you have a Desecrated Kejaar Totem and Heretic Insurrection Orders, return to The Kerran Sha'rr. Now, give him the totem by clicking it on your inventory, clicking on the NPC, and then clicking on Give in the window that appears. Repeat this action with the orders to complete the quest and receive the Talisman of Kejaar Kerrath necklace.
Again, you must say explorrre the island before you start trying to turn in the quest items.
Leveling Up the Kerran Necklace
You can complete the Kerran necklace quest as many times as you want if you're interested in improving your necklace. The simplest way to get the turn-in items you need is to farm them in a personal instance, as you won't have any competition for the spawns. However, if you have access to two difficulty levels where the NPCs aren't being camped, you can expedite your farming with this method:
- Select a difficulty level where the NPCs aren't camped.
- Go to the Kerran Tiger Spahi on the south side of the island and collect the Heretic Insurrection Orders.
- Go to the Kerran 'Amirs on the north side of the island and collect Desecrated Kejaar Totems.
- Go back to Kerran Tiger Spahi, wait for the four-minute respawn, and collect another Heretic Insurrection Order.
- Select a second difficulty level where the NPCs aren't camped. The 5-minute timer between switching difficulties will have now lapsed.
- Repeat the previous steps, switching between the two difficulties. This essentially allows you to earn an additional Heretic Insurrection Order every five minutes.
If you're going to be doing lots of turn-ins at once, it can be useful to make a macro with the command /say explorrre the island. You can then use this macro when standing near The Kerran Sha'rr to avoid having to hail him and click on the prompt every time.
