Dragon Ball: 10 Strongest Saiyan Fusions, Ranked

Fusing is basically a cheat code in Dragon Ball to become ridiculously overpowered, especially for the Saiyans. There are only four canon Saiyan fusions in Dragon Ball (Gotenks, Vegito, Kefla, and Gogeta), but spin-off series like Dragon Ball Heroes and video games like Dragon Ball Fusions, Dragon Ball Legends, and Dokkan Battle go wild mashing different Saiyans together into fused fighters who simply couldn't exist in the actual canon.

Dragon Ball's strongest Saiyan fusions are on another level, combining the raw natural talent every Saiyan has with fusion's incredible power multiplier. Vegito and Gogeta are often considered the peak of what fused fighters can accomplish in Dragon Ball, but some of the series' non-canon Saiyan fusions come extremely close to surpassing Goku & Vegeta's combined forms.

10 Bulpan Can't Even Turn Super Saiyan

Dragon Ball Fusions introduces a new type of fusion called EX-Fusion. By using Capsule Corp's Metamo-Ring and performing the Fusion Dance, two fighters can fuse together regardless of Power Level and will stay fused (like the Potara Earrings) until they choose to defuse. Bulla and Pan from Dragon Ball GT can use EX-Fusion in Dragon Ball Fusions to become Bulpan, the series' first female Saiyan fusion who preceded Kefla by one year.

Bulpan is considered the "ultimate female fusion" in-game, but considering Bulla & Pan aren't very strong to begin with in Dragon Ball GT and that they can't even turn Super Saiyan, Bulpan is one of the weakest Saiyan fusions around. That said, Bulla and Pan get a similar boost to Goku and Vegeta fusing into Gogeta or Vegito thanks to their unique relationship with one another, so that at least makes Bulpan a powerful fighter in her own respect.

9 Barlot is Dragged Down By Bardock

Barlot is the result of Goku and Bardock fusing together via EX-Fusion. The name "Barlot" is a combination of "Bardock" and Goku's Saiyan named "Kakarot", albeit mistranslated. In Japanese, Barlot's name is Barotto, a mix of Bardock and the Japanese "Kakarotto," but Dragon Ball Fusions mistakenly changed the "r" to an "l", resulting in a "Vegito" situation naming-wise.

Barlot is considered an S-Rank Fusion, but realistically, Bardock drags the fusion down. Goku is leagues ahead of his father power-wise, so he's not going to get much from fusing with a lower class Saiyan who never surpassed a Power Level of 10,000. To put into perspective just how comparatively weak to Goku's other fusions he is, Barlot can't even turn Super Saiyan and is stuck in his base form just like Bulpan.

8 Gohanks Could Have Saved Future Trunks' Timeline

Gohanks is one of many fusions introduced by Dragon Ball Heroes. Specifically, Gohanks is the result of Future Gohan and Future Trunks fusing together, not their main timeline counterpart. Future Gohanks is described as being strong enough to defeat Future Androids 17 and 18, so if Future Gohan and Trunks knew the Fusion Dance, they could have realistically saved their timeline without Trunks needing to travel back in time.

That said, it's important to remember just how strong Future Gohan and Future Trunks actually are at the end of Dragon Ball Z. Future Gohan never surpassed SSJ1 Goku from his fight with Frieza, and Future Trunks caps out weaker than Perfect Cell. Future Gohanks is certainly powerful, but he's nothing compared to what the Saiyans (and especially their fusions) can accomplish in Dragon Ball Super.

7 Gotenks is Officially Washed in Dragon Ball Super

Gotenks was one of the strongest characters at the end of Dragon Ball Z, and could have killed Super Buu immediately if he hadn't wasted his time toying with him before turning Super Saiyan 3. Despite his incredible potential, Gotenks never recovered after being spanked by Beerus in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Throughout Dragon Ball Super, Gotenks loses to Copy-Vegeta and is considered a liability by his fathers.

In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Goten and Trunks can't even successfully fuse into Gotenks anymore, becoming the fat Gotenks instead. This doesn't mean Gotenks is weak – far from it – but he could still be one of the strongest fighters in the universe if Goten & Trunks cared even a little bit about training. Instead, Gotenks keeps falling short of his potential and never utilizes his raw power properly or fully.

6 Vegeks Was Strong Enough to Handle Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

Another Dragon Ball Heroes fusion, Vegeks is the result of Vegeta and Future Trunks fusing together with the Potara earrings. Enhanced by Vegeta and Trunks' father-son bond, Vegeks is an incredibly powerful fusion and can even turn Super Saiyan 3, a form neither of his hosts had access to at the time.

Vegeks' main feats include defeating the Demon God Gravy, Cell-X (the strongest version of Cell before Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero introduced Cell Max), Xeno Janemba, and being strong enough to handle Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (one of Dragon Ball Heroes' strongest villains). Unfortunately, Vegeks is so powerful, he defuses before he can actually beat Broly himself.

5 Shallet is a God Level Fusion

Shallet is the fusion of Shallot and Giblet, the main character and rival of Dragon Ball Legends respectively. Shallot and Giblet are both ancient Saiyans from Planet Sadala, but they're more or less on the same level as modern day Saiyans (if not slightly stronger than their Universe 6 counterparts). By performing the Fusion Dance, the twin brothers become Shallet.

Shallet is ridiculously powerful, in large part thanks to Shallot and Giblet's relationship with one another. As a Super Saiyan God, Shallet was able to defeat both Fused Zamasu and Goku Black working together without taking a single meaningful hit of damage. This really speaks to Super Saiyan God Shallet's incredible Power Level, considering Goku and Vegeta couldn't even beat Fused Zamasu as Super Saiyan Blues.

4 Kefla is Ultra Instinct-Tier

The fusion of Caulifla and Kale using the Potara earrings to fuse together during the Tournament of Power, Kefla is the strongest female character in Dragon Ball other than Heles, the God of Destruction of Universe 2 (but even then, she's possibly stronger). In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Kefla is only about as strong as Ultimate Gohan, but in the Dragon Ball Super anime, Kefla is arguably the third-strongest fighter in the Tournament of Power.

Super Saiyan 2 Kefla was so powerful, she would have beaten Goku and defeated Unvierse 7 if Goku hadn't triggered Ultra Instinct -Sign- during the course of their battle. In fact, it's because Kefla is so overwhelmingly strong that Goku was able to use Ultra Instinct at all, signifying that Kefla was only slightly weaker than Jiren. Goku even reflects on Kefla while thinking about the ToP's strongest fighters in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, putting her firmly in the same league as a powerhouse like Jiren.

3 Vegito Was the Strongest Character in Dragon Ball Z

Vegito has never won a fight, but that doesn't mean he's weak – far from it. In Dragon Ball Z, Vegito intentionally chooses not to defeat Buuhan so that he can rescue Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks from inside of him. In Dragon Ball Super, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito is so strong, the fusion defuses before he can land the killing blow on Fused Zamasu (which is saying something considering Zamasu was literally immortal at this point).

Due to Goku and Vegeta's intense rivalry, Vegito is even stronger than the average fusion, receiving a massive power boost that's only rivaled by Gogeta. Feats-wise, Vegito lags behind Gogeta, but they're realistically capable of pulling off the same techniques and transformations. The main thing keeping Vegito behind Gogeta is the fact that Goku and Vegeta fused into Gogeta several arcs after Vegito's last appearance.

2 Karoly is Described As Being Stronger Than Vegito

Karoly is specifically described as being potentially stronger than Vegito in Dragon Ball Fusions, and it's not hard to understand why given just how powerful Dragon Ball Z's version of Broly is in spin-offs and video games. The EX-Fusion of Goku and Broly, Karoly combines Goku's Saiyan name with Broly's, turning them into an absurdly powerful warrior who mixes regular Super Saiyan and Legendary Super Saiyan Ki together.

Karoly is one of the strongest fusions in Dragon Ball Fusions, so much so, he's considered on roughly the same level as Beerus. Goku Black and Broly can also use EX-Fusion to fuse into Karoly Black in Dragon Ball Fusions, but the game clarifies that Super Saiyan Blue Vegito is stronger than Karoly Black, suggesting that Karoly's power comes from Broly's unique hatred of Goku fueling their relationship ala Goku and Vegeta becoming Vegito.

1 Gogeta is the Strongest Fusion in All of Dragon Ball

Gogeta is far and away the strongest fusion in all of Dragon Ball, and one of the strongest characters in the franchise's history (if not the absolute strongest). The only thing keeping Gogeta's place at the top of the totem pole in doubt is the fact he's never fought Beerus – and likely never will considering Goku and Vegeta's mutual dislike of fusing together.

Gogeta has some of the most impressive feats in the series. In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is so strong, he breaks through the very fabric of reality during his battle with Broly. In Akira Toriyama's original script for the film, Gogeta would have brought Broly to the sun for their final battle. Unlike Vegito, Gogeta does not defuse when using Super Saiyan Blue, implying he can control his raw power much better than his Potara counterpart.
