Vegeta has one of the best character arcs in anime history. The Prince of All Saiyans started out as one of the most evil characters in Dragon Ball, before growing a conscious and slowly becoming a hero worthy enough to rival Goku as Dragon Ball Super's true main character. Vegeta has put in a lot of time and effort into redeeming himself and trying to make up for the sins of his past. Doing so has not only made him a better person, but a stronger warrior.
As good a person Vegeta has become in Dragon Ball Super's main timeline, the same cannot be said for other versions of Vegeta across the multiverse. Depending on the timeline, Vegeta has a bad habit of getting possessed by dark forces that reconnect him with his evil past – and extreme power. The most evil versions of Vegeta are so powerful, they can accomplish feats that put the fate of the Dragon Ball multiverse in genuine danger.

8 Venyu (Ginyu-Vegeta) Leads the Venyu Force & Defeats Goku in an Alternate Timeline
Dragon Ball Xenoverse
In one of the corrupted timelines from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Captain Ginyu ends up swapping bodies with Vegeta before he can kill Guldo. Now in Vegeta's body calling himself "Venyu," Ginyu-Vegeta successfully kills Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta trapped in Captain Ginyu's body before Goku's arrival. Once Goku gets to Namek, Venyu has the Ginyu Force rush Goku and distract him long enough for Ginyu to swap bodies with Goku.
Ginyu-Goku then kills the real Goku (trapped in Vegeta's body) with a Kamehameha. Interestingly, Ginyu-Goku should not have been able to kill Goku-Vegeta. Vegeta has a naturally higher Power Level than Goku does, and Dragon Ball Z shows that Ginyu has no way of using Goku's full power. In order to fix the timeline, the Time Patrol sends the Future Warrior to just before Ginyu swaps bodies with Vegeta in order to make things right.
7 Majin Vegeta Gave Up His Pride For One Final Battle With Goku
Dragon Ball Manga & Dragon Ball Z
In the main Dragon Ball timeline, Vegeta experiences something of a midlife crisis during the Majin Buu Saga. Once the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament is disbanded and Vegeta realizes that Goku has gotten much stronger than him while training in the Other World, he starts mentally spiraling, which Babidi hones in on. Babidi uses his Manipulation Sorcery to awaken the evil within Vegeta's heart, giving him a massive power boost and turning him into one of his Majin warriors.
Unfortunately for Babidi, Vegeta is so powerful, his sorcery does nothing but give him a buff. Majin Vegeta is just as strong as Super Saiyan 2 Goku when fighting at full power. The energy from Goku and Majin Vegeta's fight is also so overwhelming, they end up reviving Majin Buu far ahead of schedule. By all metrics, the power-up Vegeta gets from turning into a Majin is permanent, as he remains strong enough to stall against Kid Buu at the end of DBZ – something that would have killed him in the beginning of the arc.

6 Clone Vegeta Was Created By Android 21
Dragon Ball FighterZ
In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Android 21 uses cells she secretly gathered from the Z-Fighters to mass produce clones of Earth's greatest warriors. Android 21's clones are flawed, mindless recreations whose true strength comes from their sheer numbers. Most of her clones are inferior to their hosts, which is very much the case with Clone Vegeta.
Clone Vegeta is based on Vegeta's Power Level following the end of the Majin Buu Saga, making him marginally stronger than Majin Vegeta was, but weaker than Canon Vegeta during the events of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Clone Vegeta has all of regular Vegeta's abilities and transformations, however, making him a proper threat to the weaker Z-Fighters.
5 Ultra Supervillain Vegeta Performed the God Ritual Instead of Goku Before Turning Evil
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
In an alternate timeline seen in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Vegeta performs the God Ritual instead of Goku so that he can fight Beerus in his universe's version of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Unfortunately, Fu travels to this timeline and immediately corrupts Super Saiyan God Vegeta with dark energy, turning him into Ultra Supervillain Vegeta.
Ultra Supervillain Vegeta uses a mix of God Ki and dark Ki in order to overwhelm the Z-Fighters. The battle with Ultra Supervillain Vegeta is so intense, Goku manages to brute force his way into unlocking Super Saiyan God just to keep up. Super Saiyan God Goku cannot defeat USV Vegeta, but does manage to help him come back to his senses, granting this timeline two Super Saiyan Gods to battle Beerus.
Dragon Ball Super Officially Set Up the Strongest Villain in Shonen Anime History
Dragon Ball Super has set up the most powerful villain, not only in Dragon Ball, but quite possibly anime and manga history.
4 Copy-Vegeta Has All of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta's Powers
Dragon Ball Super Anime
The Dragon Ball Super anime features one filler arc between the Tournament of Destroyers and Goku Black Sagas. The Copy-Vegeta Saga takes place on Planet Potaufeu, where the bio-weapon Commeson takes control of Vegeta and creates a perfect replica that slowly saps away Vegeta's life force.
Copy-Vegeta is just as strong as Vegeta was at the end of the Tournament of Destroyers, and can even use Super Saiyan Blue. Super Saiyan Blue Copy-Vegeta proves to be a perfect match for Super Saiyan Blue Goku, as Goku struggles to get an edge over his opponent. In the end, Goku only defeats Copy-Vegeta because Monaka accidentally steps on the Commeson, lowering Copy-Vegeta's guard enough for Goku to sneak in a killing blow.
3 Baby Vegeta is One of the Strongest Villains in the Franchise
Dragon Ball GT
Baby is an artificial Tuffle created by Dr. Myuu to get revenge on the Saiyan race for wiping the Tuffles out in the Saiyan-Tuffle War. After being awakened in the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga, Baby heads to Planet Earth where he starts to systematically take over the entire human race – as well as Earth's strongest Saiyans. By bringing Gohan and Goten under his control, Baby turns his sights to Vegeta, who he overwhelms and makes his host body.
By using Vegeta's body as a base, Baby Vegeta is extremely powerful. In his Strongest Form 2 state, Baby Vegeta completely overpowers Super Saiyan 3 Goku, forcing him to find a way into unlocking Super Saiyan 4. Even as a Super Saiyan 4, Baby Vegeta is able to surpass Goku by turning into a Golden Great Ape. Goku ultimately wins by absorbing the Ki from his fellow Saiyans and tapping into Super Full Power Saiyan 4 to kill Baby once and for all. At full power, Baby Vegeta is easily one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball GT.

A new S.H. Figuarts release does Gohan serious justice, with the figure depicting the popular character as he appears during the Android Saga.
2 Oren Vegeta Could Only Be Defeated By CC Goku
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
Oren is a Neo Machine Mutant Tuffle from Universe 6's version of Planet Tuffle. During Dragon Ball Super Heroes' Universe Conflict Saga, Oren takes possession of Capsule Corp. Vegeta (one of the strongest versions of Vegeta in the multiverse) in order to become Oren Vegeta. Oren Vegeta is supremely powerful, so much so, he's stronger than Super Dragon Ball Heroes' version of Jiren, who is said to be the most powerful mortal in the multiverse.
Oren Vegeta is far stronger than Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, requiring the intervention of CC Goku. Capsule Corp. Goku is the most powerful version of Goku in Dragon Ball, and one of the strongest beings in the entire multiverse. By training with the Grand Priest, CC Goku is able to tap into Ultra Instinct Sign and defeat Oren Vegeta. The fact Oren Vegeta could only be beaten by Goku's most broken speaks volumes to just how utterly powerful he is.
1 The Black-Masked Saiyan is One of the Most Powerful Time Breakers in the Multiverse
Super Dragon Ball Heroes
Xeno Vegeta isn't normally stronger than CC Vegeta due to the latter coming from a universe where he and Goku experienced almost every movie and series in the Dragon Ball timeline, but Oren Vegeta cannot use Capsule Corp. Vegeta's full power despite being extremely strong. In a straight fight, Xeno Vegeta would defeat Oren Vegeta, especially in his Black-Masked Saiyan form.
The Black-Masked Saiyan is a version of Xeno Vegeta who has been given a Tiem Breaker Mask, forcing him to act against his will towards the Time Patrol. The Black-Masked Saiyan is strong enough where he can fight Xeno Goku, Xeno Trunks, and Beat at the same time. Since Xeno Vegeta comes from a timeline where some version of Dragon Ball GT happened, he also has access to the strongest Super Saiyan 4 forms.
