Dragon Ball fans who have a talent for crane games won't want to miss their chance to snag a new Mr. Satan figure, which is set to launch later this month. In the four decades since its first chapter debuted in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, the Dragon Ball franchise has maintained its status as a shonen juggernaut, amassing legions of new fans each year and seeing a plethora of fresh merchandise hitting the shelves. While major characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks often hog the spotlight, a less-popular face is getting some attention this month, which is sure to please more dedicated fans.
In terms of its legacy, Dragon Ball has transformed from a simple martial arts adventure series into a formidable media franchise, with its total estimated revenue in the realm of $10.7 billion at the time of writing. Merchandise has played a massive role in Akira Toriyama's magnum opus becoming such a cash cow, with the series inspiring everything from trading card games and action figures to countless video games. Fans are often eager to add their favorite characters to their shelves at home, and one unique figure is sure to appease longtime readers and viewers when it appears later this month. However, some skill will be required to take it home.

A Triumphant Mr. Satan Figure Is Coming to Crane Games Across Japan This Month
As part of Bandai's History Box line of figures, a new Mr. Satan figure is coming to crane games in arcades throughout Japan starting on June 9. Coming in at 15cm (approximately 5.9 inches), the figure commemorates the moment in which Mr. Satan claimed victory at the World Martial Arts Tournament. Mr. Satan isn't the only Dragon Ball character set to appear in crane game machines this month, as a new Goku figure and Vegeta figure are also on the way, both set to appear starting June 16. Those not in Japan are still in luck, as a recently announced S.H. Figuarts Frieza figure is now available for preorder internationally.
Renamed Hercule Satan in the Funimation dub of the Dragon Ball anime adaptation, Mr. Satan remains a somewhat polarizing character in the franchise, with some fans enjoying his brand of humor and comic relief, while others see him as pointless or frustrating. During Dragon Ball Z, Mr. Satan is the reigning World Martial Arts Champion, and over the course of the series, he becomes more egocentric, despite being a normal human with zero special powers to back up his claims. Despite being self-serving, some fans have pointed out that he does mean well, despite being a tad over-the-top and far too cocky for his own good.
The Dragon Ball franchise isn't slowing down, particularly in the world of video games. This summer, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero players can look forward to the new Super Limit Breaking NEO update, which will add over 30 new characters, a new game mode, five new stages, and much more for fans to enjoy. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has also been confirmed, and while leagues of fans are celebrating, a lengthy wait is ahead. The title won't launch until some point in 2027.
