How to Complete Medicinal Mortality in DDV

Hercules is always ready to help someone in need, and that's exactly what he tries to do in the Medicinal Mortality quest, where he will attempt to help both Alice and an injured fox.

Unfortunately, things don't go quite as planned because Hercules is no longer as strong as he used to be. To help the fox (and Hercules), you will need to complete a series of tasks in DDV’s Medicinal Mortality quest, and we've got the walkthrough you need to follow here!

How to Unlock the Medicinal Mortality Quest in Dreamlight Valley

Medicinal Mortality becomes available after you meet these requirements:

Reach friendship level seven with Hercules.
Complete Aquatic Musings, which is the previous quest in Hercules' friendship questline.
Unlock Alice and unlock Stitch.

Medicinal Mortality Quest Walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Hercules Friendship Level 7 Full Quest

After unlocking the quest, you can talk to Hercules, who will tell you about an injured fox that Alice has been caring for. Wanting to help, Hercules offered to lend a hand, but Alice was not convinced that he could be gentle enough around the poor animal.

Hercules was so determined to prove himself that he gave up his powers for a day. Even then, Alice still had her doubts. To help clear things up, you need to go talk to Alice.

Talk to Alice and Collect Materials For the Crib

Your next stop is Alice's house. When you go there, you’ll find Alice caring for the injured fox. After talking things over, everyone agrees that the fox needs a comfortable place to rest while it recovers.

Hercules is eager to help and volunteers to gather some of the supplies himself. He takes care of the Topaz and Cotton, while you collect the remaining materials:

15x Dry Wood (Picked from the ground in Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, or Frosted Heights.)
5x Red Bell Flowers (Grown in the Forest of Valor.)
3x Fabric (Crafted by using Cotton, but if you don't have Cotton, you can purchase Cotton Seeds from Goofy's Stall in Sunlit Plateau.)

Meet Hercules and Craft a Crib

After collecting everything, go check in with Hercules. As it turns out, things haven't gone too smoothly. While trying to mine Topaz, Hercules injured his wrist because giving up his strength had made everyday tasks harder than he expected.

Since he's in no shape to keep mining, you'll need to collect the Topaz yourself. After that, you will need to help with Hercules' sore wrist. Go to the Forest of Valor and look near the stairs leading up to Frosted Heights.

You'll find some snow there. Pick it up and bring it back to Hercules. While you've been gone, Hercules has managed to get the Cotton. Take it from him, then go to a crafting station and make the Olympian Cloud Crib.

Get Hercules’ Power and Medicinal Moss

Next, you will need to go to the Vitalys Mines to find Medicinal Moss. You’ll need it to prepare medicine for the injured fox. Inside the mines, look near the river area, but there’s a large boulder blocking the path.

Normally, Hercules would clear it easily, but without his powers, he can’t move it. Realizing there’s no other option, he decides he will need to get his strength back, even if Alice won’t be happy about it.

Hercules sends you to the Dreamlight Library, which is actually Merlin’s house. This is where he had stored his powers in an enchanted jar after giving them up with Merlin’s help. When you arrive, the jar is there, but it’s empty. You see some blue fur there, which immediately points you toward Stitch.

Visit Stitch, who will admit that when he opened the jar, the power escaped and flew off. Now it’s roaming around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. The powers move fast, so we recommend using the gliding ability to catch them easily.

Make Fox Medicine

Once you catch Hercules’ lost power, go back to the Vitalys Mines and return it to him. He will finally move the boulder and clear the way. Behind it, you’ll find the Medicinal Moss you’ve been looking for. Now it’s time to finish the medicine. Along with the moss, you will need:

1x Lemon (Grown on trees in the Glade of Trust and the Forest of Valor.)
1x Blueberry (Harvested from bushes in Dazzle Beach and the Forest of Valor.)

Once you have everything, go to any cooking station, interact with the stove, and make the Fox Medicine. You can now take the medicine to Alice, who will thank you and Hercules for helping the fox. This will complete the Medicinal Mortality quest!
