Directive 8020 episode 3 (No Games) throws players straight into a stealth section where they take control of Cernan as he navigates through the room, dodging an impostor version of William. The goal is to quietly move around the area and restore power to the Control Room door to escape. However, the penalty for getting caught by William can greatly impact the outcome of the narrative. This guide will clearly explain how players can successfully restore the control room door's power without getting caught by William in Directive 8020 episode 3.
Directive 8020: How to Find the Locker Code in Chapter 3 (Search)
Players will come across a large cabinet/locker in Directive 8020 Chapter 3 (Search) that requires a four-digit code. Here's where to find it.
How to Restore Control Room Door's Power in Directive 8020 Episode 3 (No Games)
As soon as players start episode 3 in Directive 8020, they'll witness a cutscene with William, as he's chasing Cernan down a hallway. After the cutscene ends, you'll need to move up the hallway while crouch-walking behind cover. You'll spot a shuttered window on the west side of the room, which you can open up using your Utility Strap.
As you enter the room, make sure not to stand up so that you don't end up attracting infected William's attention. Make your way around the room until you reach the right side to see another window with broken glass that you can jump across. Once you arrive in this room, you can use the Utility Strap to activate the panel in front of you to lift the lockdown.
Now, the power to the Control Room door will be restored in Directive 8020 episode 3 (No Games). For a quick escape back to the main area, you can use the ventilation door on the left side of the room. Simply enter, and you'll circle back to the main area. Now simply jump across the window and make a break for the Control Room door.
If players are caught by William during the No Games story node in episode 3, it can have a dire impact on the story later on in Directive 8020. However, feel free to use the Turning Point feature, if you're playing in Explorer mode, to repeat the section if you're caught.
