The Cassiopeia crew decides to step onto the stormy landscape of Tau Ceti f, in an attempt to send a message to Earth with the Charybdis Probe in Directive 8020. After passing through the harsh climate and reuniting with Anders, the crew will eventually come across the Charybdis Probe that they'll need to first repair before inputting the code. Here's how to obtain the Charybdis Probe's code in Directive 8020 and advance further in the story.
Directive 8020: How to Find the Key Code to Carter's PC
Eisele comes across Carter's PC in crew quarters, and they'll need to find its key code to unlock it and progress the story forward in Directive 8020.
How to Get the Charybdis Probe Serial Number in Directive 8020
Players will come across the Charybdis Probe during a story node with the same name during Directive 8020's episode 7. After a long trek through the rough terrain, players will come across a damaged Charybdis probe with a red blinking light on top. The first thing players will need to do is repair the drone before they can access the terminal to enter the serial number.
To start repairing the Charybdis drone in Directive 8020, you'll need to interact with the main console of the probe and pull out the damage module. You can also spot the first digit of the Charybdis Probe serial number on the display, which is "2."
Go around to the back of the Probe and interact with a similar console on the back to open up a compartment and pull out a spare module. You'll also spot the last two digits of the Charybdis Probe serial number, which are "40."
As soon as you take out the working module chip from the probe, look to the right, and you'll find a deactivated drone on the ground with the second digit to Charybdis Probe serial number, "5."
Now that you have all the digits to the Charybdis Probe serial number in Directive 8020, all you need to do is complete the repairs. Since you already have the replacement module, simply insert it in the compartment at the front of the probe, and a terminal should open up. Simply enter the code "2540" as the Charybdis Probe serial number into the terminal to complete the objective.
