Anathema of the Primes is a Unique 2H Sword for Warlocks in Diablo 4 that players can get by farming Andariel, one of the Lair Bosses that require a Greater Lair Key. While this sword and most other Uniques in the game can drop from non-Lair Boss sources, farming Andariel will still be the best way to get it outside of Horadric Cube transmuation. If you're itching to make a Warlock Archfiend build in Diablo 4, here's how you can farm for Anathema of the Primes.

This unique weapon is one of the possible drops from Andariel at Hanged Man's Hall, assuming that you're playing as a Warlock. To open her treasure hoard, you'll need a Greater Lair Key, which you can get by opening the treasure hoards of lesser Lair Bosses like Lord Zir, Grigoire, and the Beast in Ice.

Greater Lair Keys are fairly rare. They'll start dropping more frequently once you reach Torment 6, but only by a little bit. The higher the Torment level, the better your chances at getting one of these.

If you're having a hard time getting Greater Lair Keys, or if Andariel simply refuses to give you an Anathema of the Primes, then your next best bet is to use the Horadric Cube. You can upgrade a Common 2H Sword into a guaranteed Anathema of the Primes by taking it to the cube and using the Upgrade function. To do this, you will additionally need one Enhanced Primordial Dust and Raw Primordial Dust. The former is also somewhat rare, but the latter can be obtained from pretty much everywhere.

Gambling with Purveyors of Curiosity is a great way to get Common 2H Swords. If you're extra lucky, you might even get an Anathema of the Primes straight away.

This weapon makes enemies take more damage from you when you hit them with different Core skills. More importantly, every Archfiend Demonform skill variant becomes a Core skill, and they cost Wrath instead of Dominance to use.

Anathema of the Primes opens up a wide array of different build paths. My personal favorite is a Demonic Smash Rampage build using Anathema of the Primes together with Lurid Pact, a Unique Ring that significantly increases Rampage's damage while also making its AoE larger with every enemy you defeat with it. This essentially plays like a Leap Barbarian, except you're a flaming demon instead of a raging slab of meat and steel. There's also the Sin Demon build route with Metamorphosis, though I'm yet to personally try this out.

Of course, you can use Anathema of the Primes just with your default Core skills. This would be a bit of a waste, however, as none of them have any particularly good synergies with one another.
