Deltarune Chapter 3 features a unique segment where you need to find keys to progress, in Ant Tenna's TV Time Game Show. While you generally only need three keys to open the Pyramid gate and move forward in the story, there are actually four keys available in the main game show segment (five if you’ve completed Chapter 3 at least once). This guide covers the locations of all five keys in Chapter 3 of Deltarune, so that you don’t miss a single one.
Updated June 24, 2026, by Usama Ali: Those who fully want to explore Ant Tenna's TV Desert game show need to find the keys in Round One of Deltarune Chapter 3. While only three keys are required to unlock the pyramid and finish the board, players can actually collect four during a first playthrough, with a fifth bonus key appearing on repeat runs. Collecting every available key rewards you with extra points and makes it easier to achieve the S Rank. We’ve updated this guide with more information on all the keys.
Deltarune Chapter 3 - All Key Locations
Although you only need three keys to enter the pyramid and complete Round One, it's worth taking the time to collect every key available. Each additional key grants extra points during the game show, which can improve your final score.
Earning more points makes it much easier to achieve an A Rank or even an S Rank at the end of the round. An S Rank is required if you plan to fully complete Chapter 3 and access all of its secrets.
Since Lost Pippins mentions early on that there are more keys than you actually need, completionists should really try to track down every single one.
Here is how you can find all five keys in Chapter 3:
Deltarune Chapter 3 - Key #1 Location
The first key is the easiest one to get. It's available for purchase in the shop near the starting area for 250 points. Buying it is a net positive for your overall score in the game show.
Deltarune Chapter 3 - Key #2 Location
The next key is commonly called the Sphinx Key. To get this key, you need to collect two "Q" items by completing quizzes from Tenna.
Once you have both of the Q items, bring them to the Sphinx in the top-right corner of the map. Then, answer the quiz questions. The answers are "Body," "Pippins," and "Sword Magician". The Sphinx will then open a path to the left, leading to the second key. You'll probably have walked by this key earlier in the minigame.
To get your hands on this key, you must solve a puzzle to unlock the Power Croissant for Susie in Deltarune, which gives her the ability to grab and throw pots.
Deltarune Chapter 3 - Key #3 Location
To find the third key, you need to rescue Lancer. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Head to the top-left corner of the map where Lancer is trapped in a cactus.
- Step on the red button, and Susie will toss Ralsei to free Lancer.
- Then, guide Lancer to the oasis spring located one screen down and left from where you rescued him.
- Lancer will then dig up the key for you from the L spot. This will also unlock a boss fight in a different part of the map.
Deltarune Chapter 3 - Key #4 Location
The fourth key is hidden in the cactus field. Earlier in the round, one of the Lost Pippins gives you a cryptic clue, stating that "the cactus likes you." This hint refers to a specific cactus found near the center of the area.
As you approach the correct cactus, it will noticeably blush, setting it apart from all the others nearby. This subtle reaction is the sign that you've found the right one. Simply push the blushing cactus aside to find the hidden key underneath.
Deltarune Chapter 3 - Key #5 Location
The fifth key is hidden in the bottom-left corner of the first board's map within the game show. To reach it, you enter an area where Susie, from off-screen, starts throwing numerous bombs at your party. You need to carefully move through the explosions without taking too much damage.
Once you’ve successfully cleared the bomb-filled area, the key will be at the very bottom-left of that section, waiting for you to pick it up.
Can You Miss the Fifth Key?
Yes, the fifth key can be missed. Unlike the other keys, this bonus key only appears after you have already completed Chapter 3 at least once. If you leave Round One without collecting it, you'll need to replay the board on a later run if you want to collect it.
Thankfully, missing the fifth key does not prevent you from completing the story. However, completionists and players chasing the highest possible scores will likely want to pick it up whenever it's available.
