Daemons of the Shadow Realm Episode 10 Release Date

The last chunk of Daemons of the Shadow Realm Episode 9 tossed in some added horror to an already haunting series, and fans have been left on the edge of their seats. The series has done an expert job blending some humorous elements into its deep and winding overarching story, packed with intrigue, distrust, and the bond between a brother and sister. Still, at the end of the day, daemons aren't quite often terrible to look at, but nothing could have prepared viewers for Long-Arm and Long-Leg. The disgusting creatures quickly murdered two people at the end of Episode 9, with Left and Right quickly shoving Yuru and Dera out of the way, making it clear that humans don't stand a chance against such creatures. At this point, it's unclear whether Yuru's daemons stand a chance, either, though they're willing to make a stand, regardless.

For many, Fullmetal Alchemist will forever remain Hiromu Arakawa's magnum opus, but Daemons of the Shadow Realm is certainly doing its part to be a memorable addition to the creator's catalog of works. The anime has remained near the top of the Spring 2026 anime charts, alongside other new heavy hitters like Witch Hat Atelier and returning series like Re: ZERO, Classroom of the Elite, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. There's plenty more action to come, as well, as Daemons will have two consecutive cours consisting of a total of 24 episodes. The details of what's to come remain a mystery, but it's clear that Episode 10 will be action-focused.

In Episode 9, there was some simple fun to be had, with Dera bringing Yuru and his loyal daemons to many points of interest throughout the city, including the train station and a standard home goods store. The young boy, having been raised in the wilderness, was stunned by the amount of items on offer, and perhaps more by the fact that the cashier could see Left and Right. On their way to snag some weapons from Dera's apartment, both realize that they are being followed by three people, all of whom attempt to ambush the pair, but to no avail. Now, in a nearby pocket dimension, the formidable (and nightmare-inducing) Long-Arm and Long-Leg have appeared, and defeating them won't be a walk in the park. Daemons of the Shadow Realm Episode 10, "Long-Arm and Long-Leg," will be available to stream in Japanese with English subtitles on June 6, 2026, at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EST.

In terms of viewer feedback, Daemons of the Shadow Realm has continued to see high ratings, with its MAL score sitting at a respectable 7.97 and its IMDb score currently listed at an 8.2. Its vivid color palette, slow and deliberate attempt to storytelling, and characters have made it stand out this season, and with plenty more to come, it has the chance to take the top spot for a new anime series for Spring 2026, though defeating Witch Hat Atelier will be no easy feat. The fantasy series is currently #1, with an MAL rating of 8.73.

During Episode 8, fans were happy to see that Yuru and Asa could bond, though their relationship is something Asa seems to be more interested in pursuing. Learning the truth behind his parents' disappearance, including that they didn't want to leave him behind, has bolstered Yuru's resolve, spurring the boy on to learn more about the many forces at play and what his old home village has to do with the trouble he's found himself in. It's clear that the siblings will need to come together to solve the mystery of their fate and their parents' whereabouts, and Yuru will need to eventually face what it will take to awaken his own power. For now, however, it looks like Episode 10 will be jam-packed with daemon battles, though in the preview, it's clear that Yuru may not make it out unscathed.

While the anime adaptation of Daemons of the Shadow Realm still has quite a way to go, many Spring 2026 series are slated to end in June, including Witch Hat Atelier, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2, Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3, and Marriagetoxin, among others. The Summer 2026 anime season is already promising some heavy hitters, including the return of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Skeleton Knight in Another World.
