The 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards have officially concluded, crowning the best anime series and movies of 2025. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc have been generating award buzz since they released. Infinity Castle and Reze Arc were two of the best movies of 2025, anime or otherwise, and have enjoyed a fierce rivalry with one another.

Despite being snubbed by the Oscars earlier this year, both Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc received multiple nominations at the 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including noms for Film of the Year. Both are incredibly high-quality films that push the anime medium further with amazing art direction and animation, but Crunchyroll has officially spoken and determined the best anime movie of 2025.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is Officially the Film of the Year

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle was nominated for Film of the Year at the 10th Crunchyroll Anime Awards alongside Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, 100 Meters, Mononoke the Movie: The Ashes of Rage, Scarlet, and The Rose of Versailles. Voted by fans and a panel of 100 judges, Crunchyroll has officially crowned Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle as Film of the Year, beating out its biggest rival, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle released to critical acclaim, immediately cementing itself as one of the best anime releases of 2025. The movie's amazing art direction, animation, and action made Infinity Castle a standout entry in what many already consider to be one of the greatest anime franchises of all time. This is the second time a Demon Slayer movie has won Film of the Year, with Mugen Train beating out Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time in 2021 to take home the win.
