How to Start the Ambition in the Ruins Investigation in Crimson Desert

• Once you've liberated Castle Calphade during the Main Quest, you can head outside the north gate (marked on the map above) to speak with the Calphadean Defender.
• This will begin the Stolen Supplies Faction Quest from the "Hernand Commissions" tab, which leads into "Search for Leads", and finally, "Deduction and Revelation of the Culprit".

Robert, the Overseer

• Robert can be found at the Deepfog Basin, north of Calphade.
• Robert reveals that he is suspicious of Malluk, the quartermaster, and Caspar, the merchant.

Adeline, the Nun

• Adeline is found at the Church of Calphade, in the southern area of Calphade.
• Adeline reveals that the workers and the blacksmith have been working all day and night.

Malluk, the Military Supply Officer

• Malluk can be found at the Deepfog Basin area of Calphade, in the northeast area of the castle.
• Malluk reveals that he's not too happy with Caspar, the one supplying the materials.

Helmut, the Blacksmith

• Helmut is found at the Calphade Siege Armory, in the south region of Calphade.
• Helmut reveals that he takes pride in the things he crafts, but the iron has been of poor quality.

Caspar, the Merchant

• Caspar is located at the Calphade Farmhouse, which is north of Calphade.
• Caspar reveals that he supplies hand-selected iron of the highest quality, which is dirt cheap, and he doesn't know where the shady stock is coming from.

Ella, the Workers' Representative

• Ella can be found in the Deefog Basin, outside the north gate of Calphade.
• Ella reveals that the equipment they've received is in poor condition, and she suspects Helmut's job as a blacksmith or Caspar's poor iron.

All Deduction and Revelation of the Culprit Answers in Crimson Desert

With all culprits now spoken to, it's time to return to the Calphadean Defender, where you can answer the questions in the following order:

1. The quartermaster and the merchant are suspicious.
2. The workers and the blacksmith are working till dawn.
3. Didn't look too happy with Caspar.
4. The lad seemed much troubled, with all the iron coming from who knows where.
5. The supplies they received were in poor condition.
6. He seems to take pride in the things he crafts.

Answering correctly will allow the Calphadean Defender to deduce that Helmut, the Blacksmith, is the culprit. You're now tasked with traveling south, where you can confront Helmut, tie him up, and ride back to Calphade to deliver him to the guards for justice.
