Black Sun Shield Location In Crimson Desert (Buried Treasure Quest)

To get the Black Sun shield in Crimson Desert, you must complete the Buried Treasure quest. The mission starts after you capture Ursula for a bounty quest and read her journal. Afterward, you must follow her traces until you discover Ursula's secret place. One of the rewards inside Ursula's treasure chest is the Black Sun shield.

Buried Treasure Quest In Crimson Desert

While exploring Demeniss, you'll come across a lot of purple flyers, which grant a bounty quest. Among them would be a task to capture Ursula, an outlaw seen cultivating dangerous crops at the Slopeseed Farm.

Head to the marked area, and you should immediately see Ursula in the middle of the circular marker. She will run before you even see her, so keep an eye on the bounty icon on the map, as it will move when Ursula runs.

After capturing Ursula and handing her to the authorities, you'll obtain Ursula's Journal. Read the journal from your inventory in Crimson Desert to trigger the Buried Treasure quest.

The journal mentions a secret map, so follow the quest marker and find the map on a table inside the house. The next task is to find and examine traces from Ursula's Journal.

How To Find And Examine Traces From Ursula's Journal In Crimson Desert

There are three spots marked on Ursula's map. But when you visit the place, you may end up finding nothing to interact with. That's because you need to dig dirt mounds around the area.

You must use a basic shovel to get the prompt to Shovel the Correction mound. An upgraded shovel won't work.

The first trace from Ursula's journal is in the middle of the triangular farm field. In the middle of it is a grape marking, the solution to the Secret Chamber of the Golden Plains puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Near the grape marking, next to a scarecrow (if you hadn't punched it to oblivion yet), is a dirt mound.

Equip your non-upgraded, basic shovel, and there will be a prompt to shovel the dirt pile.

Here, you will get the Second Piece clue, one of the three traces left by Ursula, as stated in her journal and map.

Now head southeast for the First Piece clue.

Equip the Shovel again and come close to the dirt pile until there's a prompt to dig.

After getting the First Piece, look ahead where there's a big pile of hay, next to a campfire. Head in that direction to get the final piece of clue left by Ursula.

Go southeast again to the marked spot.

The dirt mound is located near the fence, where you can see a lake nearby.

After finding all the traces left by Ursula, examine them from your inventory. This will complete the current task and open a new mission: Find Ursula's Secret Place.

Black Sun Shield Location In Crimson Desert (Ursula's Secret Place)

Ursula's Secret Place is located in the watery area of Demeniss City.

Head below the bridge where there's a suspicious-looking wall.

You know it's the right one as there's a little, faint leaf symbol on it.

You can hover your lantern over it to get a better look at the marking.

However, when you try to punch the wall, it will flip back immediately, meaning you can't enter Ursula's Secret Place.

You have to climb the wall, then choose Resist to stab your weapon into the wall.

Next, punch the wall normally to make it flip.

Since you're attached to the wall, you will be flipped along with it. Inside Ursula's Secret Place is a Treasure Chest that contains the Black Sun shield in Crimson Desert.
