Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded has finally kicked off, bringing with it a plethora of epic updates that players can jump into. However, many fans may be on the fence about jumping in, and others may have abandoned the game entirely. For those perhaps considering booting up Black Ops 7 in light of the mid-season update, here are the biggest reasons why you should return to Black Ops 7 for Season 2 Reloaded.

Call of Duty: Warzone brings yet another free Blueprint, this time through completing a Secret Challenge. Here is how to get Shattered Echo.

New Maps & Some Old Favorites Return for Multiplayer

Torque, Yemen, & More Maps Make their Debut

Multiplayer fans definitely have some cool new maps arriving day one with Season 2 Reloaded, some of which are purely original, while others are old classics from Black Ops 2. The brand-new map that players can jump into is Torque, but even this map has some elements from Black Ops 2, as it is inspired by Aftermath and set in Los Angeles. However, the map itself is a lot smaller, the layout is drastically different, and the level itself looks like a scene ripped straight from Inception.

As for remasters, Yemen from Black Ops 2 returns as Cliff Town, featuring the same layout as the original with a host of tight alleyways, elevations, and much more. For players that jump into Skirmish, an expanded version of Cliff Town arrives as its own map, Mission: Peak. While the remainder of Black Ops 7's Season 2 Reloaded map roster are simply carryover versions of Black Ops 6's Grind and Firing Range, there are definitely some neat new battlegrounds to try out.

Paradox Junction

Zombies Recieves a New Map Set in an Expanded Nuketown

Hype for the new Zombies map is not exactly at an all-time high after fears that Paradox Junction would be just another Nuketown Zombies installment were confimed, but for those on the fence, the newest map definitely offers some neat content for players to jump into until the next Zombies map rolls around with Season 3 Reloaded. Paradox Junction takes players into a purgatory-style map on two versions of Nuketown displaced through time, a hellish-looking version, and one that looks an eerie lot like the version from Black Ops 6.

The space of Paradox Junction itself is an expanded version of Nuketown, however, outfitted with a tonne of unique features. For starters, the iconic Mob of the Dead Wonder Weapon, the Blundergat, returns, and players can take on a new enemy during the Special Rounds, the RAD Hounds. Paradox Junction also has a number of side Easter Eggs comparable to those from Liberty Falls and, if that’s not enough, a challenging boss fight for those that complete the game’s Main Easter Egg Quest. Though many will view Paradox Junction as more of a bonus map, try it out and see for yourself.

Endgame Players Get New Boss Encounters & More

Enter Glitch Fractures to Take on New Bosses

Endgame has amassed a dedicated playerbase and, for those that regularly dive in or newcomers alike, the mode does receive a bunch of new updates that should not be missed. Glitch Fractures enter the fray and bring in some seriously challenging bosses to face off against. One of the confirmed enemies that players can face is Caltheris from Astra Malorum, which players can take on in her rock form. Boss encounters in Endgame are definitely some of the most fun activities to jump into, so seeing more getting added is definitely going to have some fans excited.

Having trouble activating the Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 7's Paradox Junction? Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it fast.

However, it's not just the bosses themselves that players should be eager for, as defeating them will also award players Nightmare Skills. These skills grant powerful abilities ranging from leaving an incendiary trail on the ground when wingsuiting to the ability to create snowstorms by shooting enemies. If that doesn't sound wacky enough, those that want a more surefire way of getting Exotic Weapons can track down the Exotic Fabricator to upgrade their currently held weapon to Exotic status.

Grind for Two New Weapons & Attachments

Players Can Get the Voyak KT-3 AR, Swordfish A1, MXR-17 ANVL Conversion, & More

For players that are on the lookout for new weapons to try in Black Ops 7, Season 2 Reloaded definitely delivers. Two new weapons enter the fray, with the Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle easily being the standout of the two. The Swordfish A1 also arrives and is a burst-fire Marksman Rifle, one that many players may remember from Black Ops 4, and looks a lot like a futuristic AUG.

Both weapons come with three unique Prestige Camos each, which is sure to be good news for camo grinders. However, for those looking for even more loadout content, two more attachments also debut for existing weapons. These are the Echo 12 Backlash Launcher Kit, which turns the Echo 12 into a Grenade Launcher, and the MXR-17 ANVL Conversion, which many players will recognize as the HAMR Assault Rifle from Black Ops 2. These loadout options will debut throughout Season 2 Reloaded through events and Weekly Challenges, and will without a doubt change the game’s meta.

Blackout Returns as Black Ops Royale

Dive into Avalon in a Mode Inspired By Black Ops 4's Blackout

Without a doubt, the biggest anticipated piece of content that was teased all the way back with the announcement of Season 2 was the return of Blackout, and with Season 2 Reloaded, players will get just that. Black Ops Royale is the spiritual successor to Black Ops 4's Blackout and is a free-to-play mode for Warzone, meaning that even if you don't own Black Ops 7, you can dive into this mode without spending a dime. Treyarch and Raven have definitely gone all out with Black Ops Royale, taking players to Avalon, which Endgame players have already been exploring for a while now.

Featuring classic systems like no loadouts, Weapon Attachment Kits that can be looted to apply attachments to your weapons, wingsuits, and the return of items like the Grappling Hook, makes it a must-try for those who enjoyed the original Blackout experience. A blend of Zombies is also thrown into the mix with Cradle Breaches, which features zombies, the Mystery Box that can potentially award the Raygun, Manglers to fight, and much more. It's seriously a wacky take on the Battle Royale formula most players are used to, and worth a try when it drops on March 12 at 9 PM PT.

Season 2 Reloaded Brings New Free Rewards

Earn Free Camos, Operator Skins, & More

If all the previous content for Black Ops 7's Season 2 Reloaded update has not convinced players to jump in, then maybe the game's long line of upcoming free rewards will. After all, who doesn't like free stuff? Throughout Season 2 Reloaded, players have the opportunity to earn a bunch of free rewards. The first instance is through Black Ops Royale, which gives players the opportunity to get both Playlist Challenge and Operator Orders rewards. Here, players can get a free camo, a Primis Dempsey Operator Skin, and much more.

Various events also debut throughout Season 2, like the Counter Skies Event Pass that awards some neat Ghillie Suit Operators, and the Altitude Tactics Event that gives players the ability to unlock an additional weapon camo, the Voyak KT-3, and more. While the remainder of the events are leaderboard events, like the Paradox Junction Event, Treyarch have put a unique spin on the Ranked Series Event for both Multiplayer and Warzone, which sees players competing with others of the same rank in Ranked Play to earn a bunch of camos. If you are looking for heaps of rewards to jump into, look out for all of these events rolling out for the remainder of Season 2.
