Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the official second part of the Boruto series, which is the direct sequel to the story of Naruto Uzumaki, written by Masashi Kishimoto. Kishimoto's Naruto series is known to be tremendously influential all over the world, and much of that is down to the incredible story arcs that he wrote over the years. 21 years ago, on February 14, 2005, Masashi Kishimoto started writing the Kazekage Rescue arc, which threw a lot of focus on the Akatsuki, as well as the character of Gaara. It also brought Naruto Uzumaki and his Team 7 into the fold and showcased their newly learned abilities after the timeskip.

Now, 21 years later, following the fall of Mamushi in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's latest arc, it has now been confirmed that a new rescue arc is on the cards. This rescue arc is going to be starkly different in comparison to the Kazakage Rescue, as it will focus on one of the main characters, Sarada Uchiha. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 34 officially set up the capture of Sarada at the hands of Code, as well as a rescue led by Boruto Uzumaki, and we are eager to see how it all unfolds.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has thrown quite a lot of focus on the Shinju in the recent arcs. With Mamushi of Shinju falling recently in chapter 33 on April 20, 2026, Chapter 34's release on May 20, 2026, in V-Jump Issue #7 officially marked the beginning of a new arc. As was showcased in the chapter, Code is going to be significantly involved in this arc, and he has already had an altercation with Boruto Uzumaki. Failing to take the Thorn Soul Bulb of Mamushi from Boruto, Code decided to switch targets to Sarada Uchiha instead. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 34, Kashin Koji officially explained the strategy of Code. Ideally, Code hoped to kill Boruto Uzumaki in their short clash, but in case of failure, his target would then switch to Sarada Uchiha.

Kashin Koji explained that Code's strategy was to grab Sarada and take her to the Shinju. The idea would be to lure Boruto Uzumaki in by using her as bait and then officially killing him in the process. Boruto Uzumaki is already aware of this development, and it appears that this future is already underway. In Boruto's latest clash with Code, the latter was seen teleporting away using the power of his Claw Grimes, and setting his sights on Sarada Uchiha, which has officially marked the beginning of a rescue arc for Sarada.

Boruto: Then how do you plan on killing me?

Code: How, you ask? Just watch! You'll see soon enough.

— Exchange between Boruto and Code as the latter goes to abduct Sarada, Two Blue Vortex Chapter #34

For Boruto, rescuing Sarada Uchiha holds tremendous weight, not only because of his conflicting feelings for her, but at the same time, also because she is Sasuke's daughter and someone that his master directly entrusted to him. As such, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, which is officially set to be released on June 20, 2026, will shed light on Sarada Uchiha's fate and showcase whether she was abducted successfully by Code or not. In either case, Boruto Uzumaki will have to rescue Sarada, especially given that she is still reeling from the aftereffects of overutilizing her Mangekyo Sharingan ability of Ohirume.

Sarada Rescue Arc Is Set To Be The Second Rescue Arc After Kazekage Rescue In Naruto

Rescue arcs are always incredibly exciting, and Boruto: Two Blue Vortex now has one of its own, centered on its main female heroine, Sarada Uchiha. Sarada is quite strong and normally doesn't need anyone to protect her. However, right now, she is at her weakest due to overusing Ohirume. Her Mangekyo Sharingan has caused her significant blindness, and she even needed to be hospitalized, as was seen in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 34.

“Code runs off after deciding that he has little chance against you, and thereafter, he sets his sights on Sarada Uchiha.” — Kashin Koji explains Sarada's capture, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #34

Since Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35, which is set to be released on June 20, is going to take over from the events of Chapter 34, no time will have passed, and Sarada is still likely to be incredibly injured. With a strong individual such as Code in front of her, Sarada Uchiha is going to be unable to do anything and will be easy to abduct. This sets up a major confrontation between Boruto Uzumaki and Code, and one that could potentially mark the end of the former Kara Inner.

“He'll take her [Sarada] to the Shinju to use as a bargaining chip, knowing that she could be used as bait to lure you with.” — Kashin Koji, Boruto: TBV Chapter #34

This new arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is also reminiscent of the Kazekage Rescue Arc from 21 years ago. Back then, Naruto Uzumaki took Team 7 all the way to Sunagakure in an attempt to rescue Gaara from the clutches of the Akatsuki after he was captured trying to protect his village from Sasori and Deidara. In the end, Naruto failed to rescue Gaara, but thanks to his efforts, the Akatsuki were stopped successfully. Because Naruto showed so much courage and determination to rescue Gaara, Chiyo sacrificed her own life for that of the Kazekage, bringing him back to life.

A similar situation could unfold with Sarada Uchiha in the new Boruto rescue Arc. Given that she is dealing with individuals at God level, such as Code and the Shinju, her life is very much at risk. Boruto Uzumaki must do whatever he can to protect her and bring her back from the jaws of death itself.

Why The New Rescue Arc Will Officially Push Boruto And Sarada To A New Level Of Strength

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s new arc is officially set to focus on Sarada Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki. Both of these characters are going to be central to this arc, and despite Sarada Uchiha being captured, she is likely to be under the spotlight herself. The creators of the series have opened up the pathway to Sarada growing even further by being true to her resolve and fighting for what she believes is right. Her Mangekyo Sharingan might cause her blindness, but Sarada's being true to her ideals will eventually force open a pathway towards an evolution.

“I won't tell you to stop. Because it's something, a strength that you yourself brought into being when you deemed you needed power in order to do and protect what you wanted to.” — Sakura encourages further growth for Sarada's ocular Jutsu, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #34

Similarly, Boruto Uzumaki is likely to grow significantly in the upcoming arc, as one of the dearest people in his life, Sarada Uchiha, could be abducted. While Boruto might have had mercy for Code in the past, he will show him none if Sarada is touched. This new arc will open a pathway to the main characters growing in strength and taking their overall abilities to a whole new level, and that is something we are eagerly waiting to see.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 will be available to read for free via Manga Plus and Viz Media on June 20, 2026.
